Warming up.

Lead the students to review the words and phrases about housework.
Do you like doing housework at home?
Do you usually do chores at home?
What chores do you usually do at home?

Students’ answers may be different. It may be“Yes, I do.”or “No, I don’t.” If the answer is yes, they can continue to answer:I usually clean the living room. or I usually sweep the floor...

Presentation
do the dishes, sweep the floor take out the rubbish . fold your clothes,　clean the living room, do chores, have to do sth , , make dinner, make your bed...
What is she / he doing? or What does he/she do every day? Look at the screen and learn the phrases.
lead the students to express the pictures with these sentences: She/He is doing the dishes.or She/He usually does the dishes....
Then lead the students to use other words or phrases to practice the sentences according to different pictures.
Learn the new words and phrases in groups or alone.
Read and try to remember them.
Every group send one student to lead to read in front of the class.and have a match among the different groups to remember them better.

-Sure. / Certainly / I’m glad to .
-Could you please clean the windows now?
-Sorry, I can’t. I have to finish my homework first.
Lead the students to learn the new conversations by using the teaching tools “a bag of rubbish”and ask:Could you please take out the rubbish?
or I will point the dirty window to a student and ask:Could you please clean the windows now? Lead the student to make correct answer.

Look and listen to the teacher and answer the teacher’s questions with Sure. / Certainly / I’m glad to .or according to the situation to answer Sorry, I can’t. I have to...now.
Work in groups about the conversation. or in pairs according to the screen.

Guessing game.
Practice the phrases and the conversation in the activity.

Say a kind of verb phrase and do correct action according to it. Then ask some students to do some actions about doing different chores one by one. E.g:do the dishes, sweep the floor take out the rubbish . fold your clothes,　clean the living room.

Do as the teacher’s requests to do some actions about doing different chores one by one. .
Then guess and practice the new words,phrases and conversation e.g::do the dishes/Could you please...? according to different actions.one group send one to act.anther group to guess.

Listening practice
1b Peter’s chores or Mom’s chores? Write “M” for Mom’s chores or “P” for Peter’s chores in the chart.
Lead the students to learn the chart.
Play the tape twice for the students.
Check the answers with the students,and give some advice.

Peter’s father answers: Sorry,you can’t you must... Or Yes,you can.
Practice the conversation in pairs about 2c

Make similar conversations with Could I ...? And right answer.
Make new conversation with partners and act.
