　 本单元主要是围绕“生日”展开的，重点学习询问日期、邀请、征求意见等日常交际用语。《英语课程标准》指出：“要让学生在真实的情景中体验和学习语言”。我觉得应该在“真实”二字上下苦功，让他们从各自的生活经验出发，准确体验和运用语言。因此，由教师介绍自己的生日引出询问其他同学的生日及想要的生日礼物，直观地呈现教学内容，让学生把所学的语言与生活实际联系起来。同时结合调查采访活动，激发学生的学习欲望，让学生在学习语言的同时能从内心真正感受到友情的重要性，体会学习的乐趣。
1 .Teach:When’s your birthday? My birthday is on……
a.T:My birthday is coming.It’s on the…… of……When’s your birthday?(板书，教授)
S:(引导学生回答)My birthday is on……（板书，领读）
师依次问几位同学，结合学生的回答强调具体日期前用介词on。
b.Pairwork：同桌互相问答，询问各自的生日。

1. Know me
（1）T:I know something about you? Would you like to know something about me? You can ask me some questions.
由“Know me”，引导学生主动探究，了解老师的相关信息。拉近了师生的距离。并且老师的相关信息都与本课的内容和话题相关，为后面展开教学埋下了伏笔。
（2）T: Here’s another photo of me. It was ten years ago. What about me at that time? Please describe me in these two photos. You can use these sentences.
由Know me 中现在的照片引出过去的照片，引导学生在过去的情境中运用be动词过去式。
（3）T：How to use was or were?
通过让学生用be动词描述过去的情境，接着让学生总结be动词在句子中如何使用。
（4）T：Please talk about your change in ten years.
让学生描述自己十年的变化。
（5）T：Your parents were old ten years ago. Your parents are not young now. They do lots of things for you. They help you; they teach you; they remember your birthday and celebrate for you. Sometimes you can’t find things they can help you.
让学生描述自己十年的变化，引出他们的父母不再年轻。父母为我们做了许多事情。以此引出下面找物的复习环节。
2.Where？

3）根据学生找出的图片，教师进行单词教学：a watch, a teapot, a wallet, a calculator, a skateboard, a comb, a mirror, a hairdryer.
