Film stars may come and go. but Paul Newman's career is long－lasting. Newman has worked in films for 40 years. His most recent one opened in December.

Have you ever wondered why birds sing? Maybe you thought that they were just happy. After all, you probably sing or whistle(吹口哨) when you are happy.
Some scientists believe that birds do sing some of the time just because they are happy.
However they sing most of the time for a very different reason. Their singing is actually a warning to other birds to stay out of their territory.

Play is the basic(基本的) business of childhood, and in recent years research has shown the great importance of play in the development of a human being. From earliest infancy(婴儿), every child needs chances and right materials for play, and the main tools(工具) of play are toys. The main function(功能) of toys is to suggest, encourage and play. Are you sometimes a little tired and sleepy in the early afternoon? Many people feel this way after lunch. They may think that eating lunch is the cause of the sleepiness. Or, in summer, they may think it is the heat. However, the real reason lies inside their bodies. At that time — about eight hours after you wake up — your body temperature goes down. I will always remember my mother’s last few days in this world.
On February 14th, 2000, my class went on a field trip to the beach. I had so much fun. When we returned to school, my teacher told me to go to the headmaster’s office.
