It is important to find a better way to deal with the rubbish in cities. Rubbish must be treated properly. Otherwise it may cause a lot of problems. It may pollute the air and water. The polluted air and water are so harmful that they may make people ill.
Our city has begun to pay attention to the problem. As far as I know, some rubbish is sorted and taken away to different factories. Some rubbish, such as old newspapers and glass, is recycled. Waste air is cleaned before it goes into the air and waste water is treated before it is poured into rivers。
In my opinion, to improve the environment, the government should pass laws to prevent people from throwing rubbish everywhere. Each of us should try our best to look after the environment and fight against pollution.

March 5,2009 Dear editor, I’m writing to tell you about the changes in my hometown. In the past my hometown used to be a beautiful place. Trees grew thickly on all the hills around the village. In order to build houses and grow more crops, trees were all cut down, but none were planted. As time went by, the whole forest was almost destroyed. Gradually, the green hills have changed into wasteland. As a result, sandstorms struck us now and then, from which we suffered a lot.  Many of the people had to leave. So, I do hope all the people should realize the importance of caring about our environment . What’s more, we should take care of the forests and plant more

Nowadays the problems about environment become more and more serious. There are so many pollutions and natural disasters in the world, and they all have the unpredictable effect. More and more factories have been built, so there is water pollutions, and air pollutions, etc such disasters like flood, desert, and drought will probably happen any time. Therefore, in that time as hard as we can to save the earth is the most important thing to do. A Composition of Protect Our Environment----- Taking good care of our environment is very important. Wherever you live, you can do something around your neighbourhood. It's our duty to keep our environment clean and tidy. Environmental problems are becoming more and more serious all over the world. With the development of industry and agriculture, cars make great noises and give off poisonous gas. Trees on the hills have been cut down, and waste water is being poured continuously into rivers. Furthermore, wherever we go today, we can find rubbish carelessly disposed. The whole ecological balance of the earth is changing. Massive destruction of environment has brought about negative effects and even poses a great threat to man's existence.
We must face the situation that exists and take actions to solve our environmental problems. For instance, new laws must be passed to place strict control over industrial pollution, the public must receive the education about the danger of pollution and so on.
