-Unit 5: Look at the Monkeys (B)

Ⅰ.Teaching Objects:
1. Knowledge Objects:
(1) Get the students to listen、say、read and write the “-ing” style of verb phrases: sleeping, dringking water, swinging, climbing, fighting.
(2) Get the students to listen, read, write and use the sentence patterns "What are they doing?/ They are sleeping/ dringking water/ swinging /climbing/ fighting " to describe the animals’ actions.
2. Ability Objects:
(1) The students can use the learned phrasess and sentences to describe the animal’s actions in the real situation.
(2) The studengts can use the sentences to express their thoughts in the proper scene, to develop the students’ abilities of speaking and train their abilities of working in groups, and to foster the students’ abilities of communication and their innovation.
3. Emotion Objects:
(1) The teacher can stimulate the students’ interests of studying English and help them to foster the positive attitude.
(2) Foster the students’ consciousness of good co-operation and proper competition.
(3) The students should love and protect the animals.
4. The Key Points：
(1) Make the students grasp the “-ing” style of verb phrases: sleeping, dringking water, swinging, climbing, fighting.
(2) Help the students study and use the sentence patterns "What are they doing?/ They are sleeping/ dringking water/ swinging /climbing/ fighting " to describe the animals’ actions.
5. Difficult points:
(1)Pay attention to the pronunciation and the writing of “climbing”.
(2) The students can use the words and sentence patterns to make up a dialogue or use them in the real situation.

1. Word Presentation & Practice:
1) The students choose the numbers and try to answer the giving questions, to present the the “-ing” style of verb phrases in the sentences.
2) Read after the teacher
3) The studengts practice the phrases in sentences one by one/two students/four students/groups.
2. Sentence Presentation & Practice:
1) to present new structures through some questions.
2) Read after the teacher.
3) Let’s chant.
4) Pairwork.
3. Sentence Presentation & Practice:
1) Listen to the tape and answer the simple questions.
2) Listen and read, try to write the answers.
3)Read after the tape
Ⅲ、Consolidation & Extension.:
1、Look at the vedio, ask and guess the animals’ actions.
2、Make up the dialogue in six or eight and perform it.
Ⅳ、Homework:
1、Talk about your favourite animals and describe their actions to your parter.
2、Write down three sentences about the animals’ different actions.
