九年级上册Unit 4 I used to be afraid of the dark.
Section A 2 (3a-3c)学案设计
一、学习目标：
1、Learn the new words from 3a-3c and master target language by doing some exercises . eg： background, interview, Asian, deal with, dare, private, guard, require
a、阅读短文，能按要求获取相关的信息。
b、通过阅读训练来提高学生们的阅读能力。
c、学习运用used to来表达“过去常常”存在的状态或的发生的动作。
2、让学生明白事物是在不断发展、变化的道理，培养学生积极向上的心态。
二、学习重难点
1) 掌握本部分出现的生词和词组，达到熟练运用的目的。
2) 阅读短文，获得相关的信息；通过阅读练习，来提高阅读能力。
3) 理解并运用所学的词汇及表达方式。
三、学法指导：
本节课鼓励和引导学生采用自主探究与合作交流相结合的方式进行学习，为了激励学生在课堂积极参与 ，我创设一些真实的情景来激发学生的学习兴趣。设计以学生为主，师生互动的任务型教学法。通过阅读文章，让学生掌握用used to +V原形 与now 进行对比，开展pair work等英语学习活动，让学生积极参与，获得成就感。

学习活动过程：
Step 1: Revision
一、Let students translate the sentences into English and check the answers together.

Step2: Warming up(这部分能很好的引起学生对本课知识学习的兴趣。)
展示一张Candy Wang的照片，并询问学生们如下问题。
1. Who’s beautiful and outgoing girl? She’s the famous singer Candy Wang.
2. Can you guess what she was like?
Yeah, she used to be very shy.
3. Do you want to know her story?
She took up singing to deal with her shyness.
As she got better, she was not shy anymore and loved singing in front of crows. Now she’s the Asian pop star.
Step3: 导入：用多媒体图片导入新单词。（以小组为单位，进行拼读训练。）First,let students read the new words by themselves to remember.
Then,let the leader of each group check reading and spelling.
Next, Make sentences with these new words. eg: interview; deal with; dare to…; not…any more; require; used to…
Step4:自学检测，检验自学效果。

Reading
Work on 3a
1. Tell Ss to read the article and identify the paragraphs in which the following information appears. Number the information [1-3].

Ss read the article quickly and try to number the information.
2. 方法指导：先读懂所给的三个句子的意思，明确段落大意。然后快速阅读短文，争取在较短的时间内，确定每个段落的大意。

4. 最后，教师让部分说出自己的答案，并校对答案。

Step7:学生小结：在学习过程中，同学们边学习新知识边总结，因此在后面不再进行小结。

Step9:课后反思：
亮点：本节课的学习目标达到了很好的效果，采用的是任务型教学法，带着问题去阅读，同时由于同学们很好地掌握了阅读技巧，很轻松地完成了本节课的阅读任务，从而更好的掌握了used to的用法，在此过程中，学生们积极地参与，小组之间的竞争性强，极大地调动了学生们的主动性、能动性和积极性，这也是本节课的亮点所在。
出现的问题：在整个课程安排中，内容量较大，学生在总结、讲解时有拖沓现象，从而导致时间紧张问题。
如何让学生能做到井然有序，掌握好时间，从而能体现课堂的有效性呢？
改进的措施：这需要学生们在预习时就要认真，师生监督和督促，
进而短时间内改掉上述所出现的问题，达到本节课的学习效果和教学目的。
