一、教学内容分析
How tall are you part A let’s talk 是PEP六年级下册第一单元第一课时的教学内容。本单元学习的主题是比较级的身高体重。本部分通过Zhang Peng 和Mike在博物馆里的谈话呈现新句型：It’s taller .学生通过听力练习获得let’s talk板块的人物和场景信息。
二、学习者特征分析
学生在三年级下册第3单元和四年级下册第3单元已经学习了描述人或动物外貌的形容词：thin,fat,tall,short,long,smaller,big,strong。以及：How old are you ?这个句型。而且本单元比较级单词已经基本掌握，为本课的学习奠定了一定的基础。
三、教学目标
1．语言技能：
（1）能够听懂、会说、认读单词与词组：dinosaur，taller，the tallest，hall，metre，than，more, both of us together.
（2）能够完成听力任务，正确选择有关恐龙的情况。
（3）能够熟练地运用句型“How tall ……？/ I’m 1.65 metres. / I’m taller than this one.”进行有关身高信息的交流。
2．语言知识：
（1）学会有关身高信息的句子, 能在现实生活中运用。
（2）能初步理解形容词的原级、比较级和最高级的表现形式。
3．情感态度、学习策略与文化意识：
（1）敢于开口，表达中不怕出错误。
（2）能对新学内容进行归纳与总结。
（3）能够在语境中理解中西语言表达方式上的不同之处。
四、重点与难点：1．句型：How tall is it? / How tall are you? / I’m 1.65metres./ I’m taller than this one.
2．词汇：taller，than，the tallest，metre, dinosaur.
