1. 火灾
Usually fire accidents are caused because of carelessness. For example, on Nov. 15, 2010 a fire happened in a high building in Shanghai. It caused a serious result. So it warns us that it’s important for us to pay attention to fire safety.
First of all, we’d better know what can cause the fire. For example, after cooking, if we forget to turn off the gas, it will be very dangerous. On the other hand, electricity lines are old and easy to catch fires. In addition, setting firework is a main cause of a big fire.
So we can’t be more careful when we work with fires. However, when a fire breaks out, what can we do to avoid ourselves being injured? Here are some tips for you. A traffic accident
Last Sunday I saw a traffic accident. I will tell you what happened.
It was about 9:30 a.m. and there were many cars in the street. An old lady was walking across the second crossing of Xihua Road. Suddenly a young man riding a bicycle rushed out and knocked her down. She was hurt so seriously that she couldn’t move any more. It was lucky that someone called the First Aid Center. Soon an ambulance came and took the lady to the hospital. The police said that it was the young man’s fault because he ran the red light.
In my opinion, it is very important for us to keep the traffic safety in mind. When we ride our bikes, we should be careful and low down the speed. What’s more, we must pay attention to the traffic lights. If everyone obeys the traffic rules, there won’t be any traffic accidents.
Remember the more careful we are, the safer we are.
5、中国的礼仪
Dear Jim,
I am glad to hear that you will come to China with your partners next month. You will feel puzzled about the differences in manners and customs between China and America.

About gifts, when we go to a Chinese family for the first time, it’s polite to bring some gifts, such as delicious cakes, tea or pretty objections. However, Americans always bring a bottle of wine to the host. In addition, Chinese receive the gifts with two hands and never open the gifts in front of the guests, compared with the Americans.
About table manners, we start to eat after the oldest persons or the host agrees or announces to begin. The host picks up the delicious food for the guests frequently to show his warm welcome. You’d better finish the food in your bowl. It’s not polite to leave food.
About greeting, remember not to hug or kiss Chinese unless you are very familiar. We are not as open as Americans. We shake hands or nod heads and say “Good morning” to greet each other.

At our school, most students ride their bikes to school. Many students walk to school. Some sutdents take the bus. Other students get to school by car. A small number of students take the subway to school.
As for me, I think riding a bike is the best way to go to school. It is not only convenient but also very healthy. At the same time I can build up my body. I enjoy riding a bike every day.

4、有关午餐的问题
We know that some of our students do not like eating lunch at school because the food isn't delicious. So they often go to food stand to buy something they like to eat. What’s worse, they bring snacks into classroom and eat them secretly.
But I'm afraid it's bad for their health to eat lunch outside because some of the food they buy isn't healthy enough. Food offered by food stand is difficult to guarantee/ ensure its quality as well as sanitation. While eating lunch at school is a better choice, although it’s not as delicious as snacks. In my opinion , it’s much safer and healthier.
In order to make more students to be back and enjoy lunch inside, our school should make the food more delicious, and also they should offer our students a larger choice of food as well. Based on the above reason, we’d better write a letter to school to ask school to improve lunch. In addition, it’s a good idea to tell our parents to take part in.
