一、 市场现有产品

1、 LSI Logic——H.264 VLE4000 用于广播的编码器

LSI逻辑推出的VLE4000，是全世界首个用于新兴H.264/MPEG-4 AVC标准的实时编码器。VLE4000实时H.264编码器适用于机架式PC，包含一个SDI输入卡和视频压缩卡。VLE4000以实时方式进行压缩，达到全full D1标准解析度——30帧/秒。以MPEG-2传输码流压缩的视频在多点传送以太网上发出，然后通过我们的VLD4000 H.264实时解码器接收。VLE4000已可供货，适用于早期使用，试验及H.264评估。

2、 先锋
先锋在“2005 International CES”上演示了采用H.264/MPEG-4 AVC方式的影像实时编码。该公司曾在2004年10月举行的“CEATEC 2004”上以1.5Mbit/秒的速度演示过720×480像素的SDTV影像的编码，HDTV影像的演示尚属首次。

　　将1920×1080像素、60帧/秒的HDTV影像输入设备，然后进行了实时编码。编码器支持的协议为Main Profile、级别为4.1。编码数据速度为可变，平均值为9Mbit/秒。

　　为实现这一编码速度，在一个机壳内嵌入了3枚支持SDTV编码的板卡。据说，在CEATEC上只使用了一枚这样的板卡。此次将画面按上下方向分为三个区域，每个区域的编码处理由一枚板卡负责。同时还对因分区而造成的连接部位的像素的连接性进行了处理。各区域的编码处理中分别使用了4个美国德州仪器公司生产的DSP，这样在编码处理中共计使用了12个DSP。另外，影像数据加载到MPEG-2 transport stream上传送、在另外的机顶盒中进行解码处理。

3、 三菱电机便携H.264编码器 面向单频段电视

三菱电机2005年2月一五日在公司研发成果展示会上演示了H.264/MPEG-4 AVC（以下简称H.264）规格小型DSP编码设备。利用1个DSP即可实时地对基于日本定于2005年度末开播的移动微波数字电视（即单频段电视）规格的视频数据进行编码处理。
H.264是一种以2Mbit/秒的数据编码速度，即可实现画质媲美于8Mbit/秒MPEG-2规格的高压缩率视频编码方式。单频段电视规格的处理上限为QVGA（320×240像素）格式、一五帧/秒，而这次的编码器却“能够进行超过20帧/秒的处理”（三菱电机）。运行这种编码器的DSP工作频率为600MHz。处理延迟约为0.2秒。
　　开发出在DSP上运行的H.264编码器之后，就能根据输入信号的像素数、帧速度、拍摄对象或相机动作的大小，以及是转播还是监控等各种不同的条件，对参数进行调整。“尤其是监控用途，根据不同情况而使用的参数区别很大”（三菱电机）。
这次的编码器设备非常小大概为B5尺寸。“假如是面向电视台的固定型设备，就没有必要设计得太小。而我们则希望它能用于采访现场的转播和监控业务”（三菱电机）。

如上图所示，信号源接入H.264实时编码器以后，编码器具有两种输出：一、编码器可以输出文件，进行编排以后发布给用户；二、编码器进行实时转码输出实时流给流媒体服务器、CDN或客户端。事实上，这两种输出可以同时使用，编码器在输出实时流的同时也可以保存相应的媒体文件。
系统在实时编码的同时，也可以对视频和音频进行部分处理，如分辨率调整、亮度、色度、对比度调整、音量调整等。
