Hi, Jenny. I called you but your phone is dead. So I guess I can send you a text.
I just reached Hangzhou taking the train K100 from Hong Kong and I’m now staying at Park Hotel. It’s my second city to visit in China. I really love to learn more about Chinese culture and taste the delicious foods here.
Unluckily, I felt quite bad on the train. So I am not going anywhere tonight. I sent for a doctor at the hotel and he said my temperature was 38℃. It was nothing serious. I hope everything will be fine with me when I wake up tomorrow.

As a way of communication, letters have long been taken place of by phone calls and WeChat messages. But Letters Alive, a show on Heilong Jiang TV, is helping bring this old way back into the present. Letters Alive took its idea from a British program. Famous actors and actresses perform in it. Each time one person will walk up to a microphone and read a letter aloud. The letters read in this program are carefully chosen and they are of different subjects. There have been heartbreaking stories about people who separated from their families, such as the Qin period letters written by two young soldiers to their elder brother to report what they were going through in the war.
Behind this program is China's centuries-old tradition of writing and reading letters. Watching this program is like experiencing a moment of history. What’s more, TV watchers feel encouraged by the letters. That’s why the program has become a big hit in China ever since it was first shown on Dec 5, 2016.
