Teaching procedures:

Step1:warming—up

1. To greet the students, then tell them that let’s play a game as usual.
2. Show them some words (clothing ,animals, foods, transportations, weather, places) with the cards, then let students speak out the things that belong to them row by row.
3. Let them say more places they like freely, then ask,“would you like to go to these places?”“yes”. OK, let’s talk about this topic today, we’re going to learn Unit7.Where would you like to visit? Section A.

Students’ activities

To greet the teacher and play the game.

Step 2: leading—in

1. To show them some beautiful places on the screen and read the names.Then ask,“Where would you like to visit ?”Call some srudents to answer.
2. To tell them to ask and answer group by group .

1. To look at the beautiful places and answer the questions.

Step3: 1a

1. To show the travel posters in 1a on the screen and read the ad words.
2. To ask,“What adjectives can you use to describe the vacations?”then learn and read the description words together.

Step 4: 1b 1c

1. To ask the students to listen and write down where Sam and Gina would like to go on vacation and why.

To tell them to plan their own vacations in groups, introduce where they would like to go and why.

Step 6: Relax

To ask them ,“If you go to these places, will you be happy?”Students may answer yes .then say,“If you are happy, sing the song.”

Step7: 2a 2b
1. To read the statements in 2a then listen and number them.
2. To help the slow students to cheek the answer.
3. To listen again and match the places with the reasons in 2b.
4. To check the answer.

1. To call two students to practice this sentence pattern with me.

To make their own ideal traveling spots in groups ,then let’s see which group can attract the most people.

To call a student to summanize.

2. To call six students to give a report.
3. To tell them to ask their parents to see if they are right after school.
4. To tell them, “From this game we know we should care about our parents and study hard to earn more money to take them to the places they would like to go.
