一：教师准备

句型：How do you do sth?(你如何做什么？)

New words: flashcards vocabulary
Grammar: 介词+v-ing （表示通过某种方式）
3.学习目标：
1、知识目标：学生能准确地听、说、读、写出flashcard ,vocabulary 。
2、能力目标 学生能够听懂，轻松地运用重点句型：
A: How do you study for a test?
B: I study by working with a group.
4.学习重点、难点：
Useful expressions---How do you study …?  I study by doing …
5.教学策略：
（1）话题讨论——How do you learn English ?
从实际生活入手，引出本课的重点学习句型。
（2）小组合作学习。
6.教具准备：radio tape exercise sheets
二、前置作业（自主学习内容）：
1、预习：Section A 1a, 1c中的语言材料
 要求：圈出新词 标出读音 划出短语 译出解释 摘出疑难
2、自主探究 请认真观察下列句子，看看有何不同。
(1). The headmaster usually go to work by car .
(2). Students often go to school by bike.
(3). Teachers often get the teaching materials by surfing the Internet.
(4). Some boys teach others a lesson by fighting them.
(5). Now more and more youngers ask for money from their parents.
(6). If you can’t go to school ,you must ask your teacher for a leave.

三、课堂教学程序：
Step 1 ：先做先学环节（10minutes）
要求学生利用彩色笔，按照要求，在学习小组内完成前置作业内容。
完成后，学习小组长认真检查并统计汇报，教师抽查。
Step 2: Lead in
    The new term has come. ask what they did in the summer holiday. If possible, ask how they did that. Help the students use the construction “I …by doing…”.Explain “by”. Then Have the students say what they think of English.
Then tell each other how they study for an English test.
Step 3 ：Part 1a --- Checking the ways you study
    Ask students to finish the task. They can add something else.
Step 4. 1b.Listening
    Listen to the listening stuff of 1b, which is recorded in the courseware (convenient to be repeated). Finish the task.
    Then the teacher asks, “How did Mei/ Pierre / Antonio study?” Have some students give the answers, i.e. repeat the sentences by using “by doing”
Step 5. 1c. Making dialogues
    Work in pairs or groups. Discuss first. Then make a short dialogue.
    Have the students share their work.
Step 6：Class show

Give ss time to show their dialogues in class.
