1. Comic strips
a. 不作导入，开门见山问学生：Look at the pictures and read Eddie and Hobo’s conversation. What does Eddie want to be?
b. 看漫画听录音，在讨论细节的同时解释生词，鼓励学生猜测词义，不要翻看生词表。
Why does Eddie say Hobo is very lucky? Why does Hobo think Eddie is daydreaming? Does Eddie understand what Hobo says? ( No. Hobo tells Eddie to be realistic. 语言点：
1、Why don’t you……..?是一个表示建议时常用的 句型，意为“你为什么不……..呢？”根据实际表达的 需要，也 可以将you 改成其他人称代词。相当于Why not…….?回答时不用 because。
Why don’t we go and tell him our ideas? 我们为什么不直接去告诉他我们的看法呢？
2、Stop 表示“停止”的意思，其后用动词不定式或Ving形式作宾语都可以。但是两者意思不同：Stop to do表示“停下来 去 做某事”；而Stop doing表示“停止做某事”。如果表示“停下来并用另一种方式做同一件事情”也 用stop to do 结构。
如：We stopped working at tea-time. 我们在午后茶点时间停止了 工作。
