一、教学内容：
Module 8 Unit 1 Is it a monster？本课主要是培养学生能够用“Is it a(n)...?"进行询问。并能够用“It's a ...”来进行回答。培养学生在危险时候懂得用“Help!”来进行呼救。
二、教学内容分析：
本单元的课文情景是在公园里，两个小女孩看到树丛后面由奇怪的东西，于是做出各种猜测，她们越想越害怕。并用“Help”进行呼救。在猜测过程中，他们一直使用“Is it a…?”说出自己的猜测。他们已经看到了这个奇怪东西的一部分，有一定的把握。但是不够肯定。这种情况，及要用到本单元的句式“Is it a…?”来进行询问了。
三、教学目标：
1. 语言知识目标：
a. 单词：全体学生能够初步理解：monster, now, kite, don’t=do not, know, no, not (isn’t=is not), help. 全体学生能够初步运用：yes, no, not(isn’t=is not), help.部分学生能够初步运用monster, new, kite, don’t=do not, know.
b. 语句：全体学生能够初步运用Is it a cat? Yes, it is. / No, it isn’t. Help! 并掌握一般疑问句的升调。
2. 语言技能目标：全体学生能够听懂、说并能够初步运用句子：Is it a cat? Yes, it is. / No, it isn’t. Help!
3. 情感态度目标：通过本单元的学习，培养学生能够根据需要勇于并乐于提出问题并回答他人的问题，激发学生们对英语学习的兴趣，是学生树立学习英语的自信心。
四、教学重点：
1. 掌握单词yes, no, not (isn’t=is not), help.
2. 掌握句子Is it a …?并能够用Yes, it is. No, it isn’t.来进行回答。
3.知道在紧急情况用Help进行呼救。
五、教学难点：
1. kite, cat两个单词的发音与区分。
2. I don’t know 的发音与理解。

七、教学过程：
Ⅰ、Preparation
1. Greetings: Good morning boys and girls! Ss: Good morning teacher!
2. Sing a chant: What’s this?
Ⅱ、 Presentation
1. Ask and answer. (PPT show a cat kite.)
T: Good, boys and girls. Look! What’s this?
S1: kite. S2: cat.
T: Kite? Cat? What is it? And it’s our old friend Sam’s. let’s go and see, Ok? Now, open your books, turn to page 44, today we’ll learn Module8 Unit1 Is it a monster? Let’s watch the CD-ROM. And think what is it? A kite or a cat? 此处简单讲解or.
2. Talk about the answer and learn the new words: kite. T: Who can answer? S: It’s a cat kite.
T: Oh, yes. It’s a cat kite. （在此教授本课新单词kite）
3. Read after the CD-ROM. （在此处教授本课新单词new）
Ⅲ、Practice
1. T：The cat kite is interesting, OK? And just look at this! (PPT展示怪兽图片) Wow! What’s that？
Ss: 怪物！Monster!
T: Yes, it’s a monster. It’s terrible, OK? (简单教授monster). If you met the monster, what should you do?
S1: 打他。
T: Oh, you are brave!
S2:我会很害怕！
T：I think I’m afraid too. If we felt afraid, what shall we do? 接下来，我们就一起去看看在公园里两个小女孩遇见了什么？让我们听录音，思考：当她们觉得害怕，她们呼喊的是什么？(听音看书找答案) OK, stop. Who can answer my question?

T: Good! Help, what’s meaning do you know?
S: 救命啊！
T：Good! (在此处讲解领读help并板书help) And I take you some pictures. 如果你遇见了一下这些场景，你会怎样呼喊呢？（PPT展示几幅表示危险场景的图，引导学生在危险的时候要知道用Help!来进行呼救）。
2. T：Now let’s listen to the CD-ROM again and think: what do they think? How do they ask and answer? 女孩们都猜想了什么动物？他们是怎么问的？又是怎样回答的？With these questions, let’s watch. （听音找答案）Stop. Who can answer? What animal?
S1: cat.

3. 梳理提炼。T：Now boys and girls. Look at the blackboard, 当你遇见危险时你要呼救，要说Help. 当你要猜测某种东西时，你可以用Is it a …? 来询问。并用Yes, it is. No, it isn’t. 来做答。Clear?
4. T: Boys and girls, put up your books, let’s read after the CD-ROM. （在此处讲解don’t =do not, know, don’t know）
Ⅳ、Production
1.T: 同学们，本节课呢，我们要参加一个模仿秀，现在就让我们来做一个热身练习吧！Practice：(PPT展示图片，课本第四题，引导学生在小组内问答)
2. Game: T：OK, boys and girls，模仿秀要开始啦！看大屏幕，老师为你准备了许许多多多的动物，模仿家们，你能模仿它们的形态吗？猜测小博士们，你们能够用今天所学的句子来猜测吗？教师与二生师范，教师模仿一种动物让学生来猜，运用到Is it a …? Yes, it is. No, it isn’t. 来回答。T：Can you do it as us? Work in your groups. 小组间汇报，教师深入小组内点评，小组推荐代表到教室前展示，全班猜测。教师点评，学生互评。给与奖励。
