状语从句:句子做状语
1.地点状语从句:由where, wherever 引导。
Where I live, there are plenty of trees. Wherever I am, I will be thinking of you.
2.方式状语从句:由as, as if, as though引导。
1)as引导的方式状语从句通常位于主句后"就像" Always do as you said.
2)as if, as though引出的状语从句谓语多用虚拟语气,"仿佛/好像"
He looks as if (as though) he had been hit by lighting.
3. 原因状语从句:由because, since, as和for
1)because语势最强,回答why的问题,不与so连用.原因明显时用as/since(可以放句首)。
I didn't go because I was afraid. Since /As the weather is so bad,we have to delay our journey.
2)for引导的从句前面有逗号,起补充作用。He must be ill, for he is absent today.
4.目的状语从句:由that,so that,in order that等词引导,可以用（so as/in order to+v改简单句）
You must speak louder so that /in order that you can be heard by all.= You must speak louder so as/in order to be heard by all.
5.结果状语从句:由so… that 或 such…that引导,从句否定可以用too…(for sb)to+v…变简单句。从句肯定可以用…enough(for sb) to +v…变简单句。
The boy is so young that he can't go to school.= The boy is too young to go to school.
The clothes are so cheap that he can buy them.= The clothes are cheap enough for him to buy.
6.条件状语从句:主将从般，用if,unless,as/so long as等。unless = if…not.　
Let's go out for a walk unless you are too tired.=If you are not too tired,let's go out for a walk.
7.让步状语从句:用though,although时,不能有but但是可以和yet/still连用
　Although it's raining,they are still working in the field.　
注意:1)as/though引导让步从句必须倒装表语或状语,倒装名词不能带冠词。
Child as he was,he knew the right thing.=Though he was a small child,he knew the right thing.
2)even if,even though."即使" We'll make a trip even though the weather is bad.
3)whether…or not　不管…都 Whether you believe it or not,it is true.
4)no matter+疑问词=疑问词+ever
No matter what happened,he would not mind.=Whatever happened,he would not mind.
8.时间状语从句:主将从般
1)as,when,while引导.When谓语可以终止性或延续性.as,while表示两动作同时进行,as "一边…一边…"while谓语必须延续性.
When I stopped my car,a man came up to me. As he walks,Tom sings　
While I was doing my homework,my mother returned.
2)until /till肯定形式动词必须是延续性的.否定形式动词可以用终止性。not...until直到...才...　 Wait till I call you.　　 Don't get off the bus until it has stopped.
Until可用于句首,till不用于句首. Until you told me, I had heard nothing of what happened.
3)before,after,as soon as As soon as I got home, it began to rain.
9.比较状语从句:由as…as…,not so/as…as…,…than….
He isn`t as/so tall as he. It rains more heavily than yesterday.
