The story began in 2011 when Rashid was 3. He watched his first race----- the Abu Dhabi Formula One (F1) Grand Prix. That’s when Rashid told his dad that he wanted to be an F1 driver with team Ferrari. (F1 cars are the fastest race cars in the world.)
At the age of 5, Rashid traveled to Italy for a training program. When he returned home, he was placed fourth in his first race and finished 2013 with three more races. Rashid had 16 races in 2014. Although he was the youngest driver, Rashid blew past his competitors to a big win in May. He became the youngest driver to win an international race in Milan, Italy.
Off track(赛道), Rashid is just a normal kid. From Sunday to Thursday, he goes to school. Like most kids around the world, he loves to play soccer with his classmates. Rashid is also a fan of pizza and movies.

Rashid trains hard to improve his racing skills. He trains two or three times a week at the track and works with a professional coach. As for advice to kids who want to follow in his footsteps, Rashid is quick to answer, “Practice, practice, practice!”

第二部分 命题依据
根据2016年《齐齐哈尔中考英语考试说明》的相关要求，以全面、准确地考查学生的综合语言运用能力为宗旨，阅读理解和单项选择的编创与学生的生活实际与身心发展相适应。（一）语法填空题，不但要求考生有扎实的词汇、语法等基础知识和对句型结构的灵活运用能力，而且还要求考生有良好的语感和一定的阅读理解能力。以此篇阅读对学生进行德育教育，鼓励孩子们要有勤学苦练的意志。需要我们填入形容词，副词，连词，非谓语动词及转换词等。（二）单项选择题重在语法知识、词汇知识、语言运用的能力，而且不是孤立地考查某个知识点，还与当今社会发展趋势及生活经验相结合。真正地落实“考查学生用英语做事情的能力”的指导思想，通过听、读、写等形式对考生进行评价。（试题皆是本人自编自创，绝无虚假！）
