4、 polyethylene coated pipes, and the application of Tar Urethane (TU) as an external protective system. 8、eparation 补口的表面预处理 Oil, grease and other contaminants shall be removed from the steel and adjacent polyethylene surfaces by solvent cleaning in accordance with SSPC SP1 prior to abrasive blast cleaning. 根据SSPC SP1的规定,在喷砂处理之前,应当用溶剂将附着在钢材及相邻聚乙烯材料表面的油脂及其他污染物清洗掉。 Steel and polyethylene surfaces

9、 to receive TU coating shall be abrasive blast cleaned to establish an anchor pattern. The temperature of the substrate shall be a minimum of 3°C (5°F) above the dew point during surface preparation, coating application and curing. Coating materials shall not be applied when the steel temperature

11、 separators, filters and drains to ensure that contaminants such as oil and water are not deposited onto the surface to be coated. Burrs, slivers, scabs and weld spatter visible following blasting shall be removed and the area re-blasted. The prepared surface shall be coated prior to any visible de

13、 profile. Slag and mineral abrasives shall meet the requirements of SSPC AB1. Re-circulated abrasives or steel grit may be used if not contaminated with pipe coatings or salts. 用于喷砂的研磨料应当清洁干燥且无污染。颗粒的大小应能够形成规定的表面粗糙度。矿渣和矿物研磨料应满足SSPC AB1的要求。如果没有被管材涂料或盐所污染,那么可循环的研磨料或钢砂还可以再次使用。 The steel surface sh

14、all be blast-cleaned in accordance with ISO 8501-1 Sa2 ½. Remnants of the first layer of fusion bonded epoxy, or liquid epoxy may remain adjacent to the edge of the polyethylene. The minimum anchor profile on the steel resulting from blast cleaning shall be 75mm (3.0mils). The polyethylene surface

15、 shall be roughened by abrasive blast cleaning for a minimum length of 100mm from each cutback area. The polyethylene shall be further abraded with a wire brush or similar implement to achieve a ‘hairy/stringy’ surface to maximize the surface area and aid adhesion. Residual blast products shall be

16、removed from the cleaned surfaces by using clean, dry, compressed air. The use of rags to wipe clean the prepared surfaces is prohibited. All surfaces to be coated shall be free from contaminants, including moisture. All areas which are not to be coated shall be protected from abrasive blast clea

18、 Profile measurements, to ensure the correct anchor pattern, shall be taken at a minimum of three (3) different locations for each working production shift, i.e. twelve (12) hours. The profile of the steel surface shall be measured with replica tape and a spring micrometer. 应采用剖面测量法在每个工作生产换班时间

20、在将要进行处理的地方时,应将它转移到一个受保护的位置。 4.0 Application 涂敷 Field joint coating shall be performed only when the surfaces to be coated are clean and dry, and in the absence of airborne contamination that can affect the quality of the joint coating. Heating shall be performed if the surface temperature i

21、s less than 3°C above the dew point temperature. The coating shall be applied so that the steel surface receives a minimum of 1.5mm (1500mm, 60mils) over the bare steel. Coating shall lap 50mm (2 inches) minimum onto the polyethylene pipe coating. The abraded surface shall extend at least 25mm (1

23、no polyethylene beneath) to a thickness of zero observed at the termination of the TU. The blast cleaning profile on the polyethylene surface shall be visible beneath the feathered out (tapered) overlapping TU coating or beyond the edge of the TU coating. 25、取决于下面的表面粗糙且相互重叠的聚乙烯管涂层。 TU overspray that is not a consolidated film may be present on unprepared surfaces downwind of the joint. The overlap of the consolidated film of TU shall extend onto the prepared surface at least 50mm, but not over the unprepared polyethylene surface. If the consolidate

28、nt shall be checked as soon as possible to ensure that the minimum DFT of the coating is satisfactory. Wet film thickness gauges may be used during coating to ensure correct coating thickness. 涂敷设备应遵照涂敷厂商的建议。应调整好喷涂设备以便涂敷操作可以在平滑均匀的涂层上进行。所有采用便携式喷涂设备涂敷的补口都应尽快检查以确保涂层的最小干膜厚度满足要求。在涂敷时应采用湿膜测厚仪以确定准确的涂层

29、厚度。 Filters shall be installed as part of the equipment to ensure that particles which would be detrimental to the coating application shall be cleaned using only manufacturer recommended solvents. Solvent flushing of spray equipment shall be allowed when spray operations cease. Solvent shall n

31、ve the specified thickness, the over-coating may be performed to the previously coated clean, dry surface within the manufacturers recommended over-coating period with no special surface preparation. If the time between coats exceeds the recommended maximum, the surface shall be abraded prior to ap

33、pairs to spray applied coating. 在喷涂不可行的位置或者在固定的位置上,应采用刷涂。对于喷涂过的涂层的修补,允许使用刷涂。 The coating components shall be mixed and applied in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendation. No thinner shall be used. Surfaces shall be prepared in accordance with this specification. Where multiple layer

34、s of coating are required to achieve the specified thickness, each layer shall be applied at right angles to the preceding layer. If the time between coats exceeds the manufacturers stated maximum, the surface shall be abraded prior to applying an additional coat. 涂层成分的配制及应用须严格按照厂家的建议,不得使用任何稀释剂。表面

38、olidays or damaged areas which are discovered in the polyethylene pipe coating shall be made with approved TU products. All loose or damaged polyethylene shall be trimmed back to sound coating prior to cleaning, and the edge of the polyethylene shall be bevelled at an angle of 30° with the steel su

39、rface. The surface preparation shall ensure that the area to receive the coating material is clean, free from contamination and abraded so that the anchor pattern described in Section 3 is achieved. The holiday or damaged area shall be cleaned and the TU applied so it overlaps at least 75 millimet

40、res (3 inches) beyond the perimeter of the holiday. The abraded area must extend at least 25 millimetres (1”) beyond the area to receive the coating. Following the cure time for the repair product, as described above, the repair shall be re-tested. 漏涂部位或在聚乙烯管涂层上发现的损坏区域的补修应使用经许可的TU产品。所有损坏的聚乙烯应在清洁之

42、 caused by embedded dust. The DFT shall be checked on each joint using a film thickness gauge such as an Elcometer 345 or Elektro-Physik “Mikrotest” film thickness gauge or approved equal. The contractor shall ensure that the thickness gauge is in good working condition and calibrated at least twi

45、escribed above and an additional layer of coating shall be applied until sufficient thickness is achieved. If noticed during application, the sags or runs can be brushed out. Following re-preparation, additional coating shall then be applied until the correct
