一、创设情境，切入主题
Step 1 Lead－in
Lead in by discussing the following questions：
What class do you like best？
What do you often do in class？
What does your teacher do in class？
Discuss the
3、questions in groups.Divide the class into three or four groups to finish the task.After several minutes，let some students come to the front to show it.
二、展开过程，探究新知
Step 2 Listening
Listen to the tape and answer the following questions：
How long has Brian been in Canada？
What did they talk about

Finish the task in class in oral.
Step 3 Reading
Read the text and answer the following questions：
What can remind Brian of the holiday？
What did Jenny do in class？

Read the text again and let the students retell the passage in their own words.Let them sum the main idea of the e－mails.
