See “How many of you like hot dog?” Raise up your hands! 4. Say: “7 students like hot dogs.” 5. Do the same with several students and then get the students to practice in pairs. I like Period 3 教学内容:Section A(3 4) Task One: Review the food words 1. Revise the food words we learnt in this unit by asking questions like: Do you like carrots? Does he like carrots? Do you like hamburgers? Does he like hamburgers? 2. Look at the picture on page 31 and say the food words. What is this? What are these? Task Two: Pairwork 1. Have the students in Line 1, 3, 5 turn to page 95 and the left students look at page 33. 2. Say: What are these in picture 1/2? What is this in picture 3/4? 3. Draw a happy face and a sad face on the blackboard and ask students: Which one means likes and which one means doesnt like? 4. Now work in pairs. Now each of you have only half of the information. Your job is to get the rest of the information from your partner. 5. As the students are working together, move around the room making sure that they understand the instructions and helping them get started. 6. As the students complete the task, make a simple copy of the chart on the board. When they are finished, ask students to fill in their answers on this chart. Task Three: an activity 1. Get the students to make up their own charts similar to the pairwork chart in pairs. Ask them to use different food items, to tell the truth, and to leave out half of the information on each copy of the chart. 2. Then ask each pair to exchange charts with another pair and complete the activity as before. Encourage pairs to present their completed charts to the class. Task Four: Food survey 1. Look at the chart below. What are these foods? They are 2. Ask one student: Dave, do you like hamburgers? Have the students write down Dave in the form which “likes it” if he likes it and in the form which “doesnt like it” if he doesnt like it. 3. Get the students to ask the students around him or her the same question: Do you like? Find out what they like and dont like. 4. Give a report about the chart. 5. Ask: Does Mark like hamburgers? Who knows? The student who interviewed Mark should stand up and answer: Yes, he likes. Or, No, he doesnt like hamburgers. Ask the pairs to list as many fruits and vegetables as they can in that amount of time. Suggest that they continue on separate paper if they dont have enough room in the book. Task Four: Listening . 1. Play the recording for the first time. Students only listen. Before they listen, explain that they should circle the seven items they hear. 2. Play the recording a second time. Get the students to circle the seven items. 3. The answers: broccoli, salad, ice cream, apple, banana, orange, carrots Task Five: Fill in the chart 1. Look at the chart and the sample answers. Say: There are four answer boxes for each person. The boxes in column 1 are for foods the person likes. The boxes in column 2 are for foods the person doesnt like. 2. Play the recording again. Students write the food names in the chart. 3. Play the recording again, stopping after each line to check the answers. Keys: Katrina likes apples, salad, oranges, ice cream and bananas. She doesnt like vegetables. Tom likes carrots and broccoli. He doesnt like apples. Task Six: Pairwork 1. Point out the speech bubbles and ask two students to read them aloud. 2. Ask and answer another question using information from the chart. 3. Work in pairs and ask and answer more questions using information from the chart. 4. Look at the foods each person likes and doesnt like in 2b. Decide who each meal belongs to. Point to the two pictures and ask students which one is lunch and which one is dinner. 2. Read the instructions aloud and point to the answer blanks where students fill in the lunch and dinner foods they see in the picture. 3. Ask students to complete the task individually. 4. Check the answers. For lunch, he likes hamburgers, carrots and oranges. For dinner, he likes chicken, broccoli and salad. Homework: Write about what you like for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
