32、down 等不及物动词后的动词不定式一般作目的状语。如:  ①I came to tell you the date of the meeting. 我来告诉你开会的日期。  ②He went to see his mother. 他去看她母亲了。  ③We lay down to have a rest. 我们躺下休息一下。 三、反身代词(reflexive pronouns) I—myself  you — yourself / yourselves   we — ourselves   they — themselves   he — himself   she — herself   it — itself 当宾语或表语与主语是同一个人时,我们用反身代词。反身代词可作宾语、表语、同位语等,但反身代词不能作主语。如: ① He is not himself today. 他今天有点儿反常。(表语) ② My little brother can dress himself. 我的小弟弟能自己穿衣服(宾语) ③ You should believe in yourselves. 你们应该自信。(介宾) ④ She washed her clothes herself. 她自己洗了衣服。(同位语)
