1、 Unit 2 Where ‘s the post office?  Hello, everyone. It’s an honor for me to stand here and interpret my lesson. .Today I’ll talk about unit2, where is the post office? section a Grade 7. I divide my teaching plan into 6 parts. They are teaching material, students’ analysis, teaching methods a

2、nd learning strategies, teaching aids, teaching procedure and blackboard design. Now, please follow me into the first part, Teaching material. The first aspect: Teaching material analysis. I will analyze it from three aspects. They are Status and Function, Teaching Objectives, Important points and

3、 difficult points. In this unit, the teaching materials are designed to make students learn some new words about places and preposition about place, and ask the others the way and help the people who ask direction. For sure that it is very important for the students to improve their speaking abilit

4、y. It’s not only an important expression in our daily life but also the difficulties and importance of situated learning. It is helpful to communicate with each other in the real life situation freely. The second aspect: Teaching objectives. I divide the objectives into knowledge objective, abilit

5、y objective and moral objective. First, knowledge objectives. In this unit, students should be able to use these words and sentence structures. Such as the new words: library, bank, restaurant post office, hotel, etc. The new sentence patterns such as: Is there a bank near here? Second, ability

6、objective. as we all know, in the language learning process, the four skills, listening, speaking , reading and writing are mutual interactive. In this unit the central point will be laid on training their speaking skills. Third, moral objectives. As we know, asking way is usual in our daily life.

7、 Through this unit, students will know how to ask and give direction correctly and be brave to ask and answer question in English, They should help others who in need. Let’s move on to the last aspect, key point and difficult point. The important point of this unit is the new words and the prepositi

8、on of place: library, street, etc. The important sentence structure is : Is there a …near here? Students should know how to use these to ask and give direction correctly. Students analysis. Because most of the junior middle school students are aged from 13 to 15. They have learned English for some

9、years. They can understand some words and simple sentences. They are curious, active, and fond of game competition, and various activities. They enjoy learning through cooperation in a relaxing atmosphere. So I will provide real contexts and various tasks. The purpose is to change the attitude to En

10、glish and learn English easily. As to the Teaching methods and learning strategies. task-based teaching method and communicative method will be used in this class. In my class, various tasks will also be used to help them know how to use the new words and the sentence structure. Besides, I will use

11、 audio-visual approach. Then, let’s talk about the Teaching aids. In this unit, In order to make the class lively, and the students can learn easily, the muti-media will be used in class. It can arouse their interest of learning English. Besides, some real objects like, pictures, blackboard and cha

12、lk will also be useful. This will be helpful to the interaction between teacher and students and make my class more attractive. Let’s come to the most important part of the teaching planning--- Teaching procedure. It is made up of 7 steps. They are warming up, learn new words, learning the new sent

13、ence pattern, pair work, making a dialogue, summary and homework. Now let’s go to the first step: step1: warming up At the beginning of the class, we will greet each other. By this way, I will get students’ attention and move to the next step . step2: Learning new words At the beginning of the c

14、lass, I will show some pictures to introduce every new word. At the same time, I will use few sentence to introduce it. For example: this is a hotel , when we have a trip far away our home, we will find a place to have rest and spend night. So do you know what’s the meaning of hotel? In this way, st

15、udents can learn the new words’ meaning and know how to use it. Then I will lead my students to read these new words together. By this way, students will know the pronunciation and the stress of the words. Through this way students can review the words again. After the two steps, students can have

16、a better understanding of the words in this lesson. Next, we will play a game. I will show some pictures, and then ask students what is he doing? So where is he? I will ask students come to blackboard and write down their answers. In this way, students will have a opportunity to use these words ,

17、and at the same time they can know the words’ spelling. step3: Learning sentence pattern In this part, first I will show a simple map, and then I will ask them with the sentence” Is there a restaurant near here? They will try to answer me. I will let them ask me the same question. I make a dialogu

18、e with them. By doing this I can lead the sentence in and give them right answer. It can also enhance the students’ speaking ability. Second I will introduce it on blackboard to let them know the sentence and know how and when to use it. Step 4: Pair work In this part, I will ask students to pract

19、ice the sentence with their partners. And then ask volunteers to act it out. By this step, students can have a better understanding of the sentence and will get the opportunity to practice their spoken English. step5:Make a dialogue I show them a picture and ask students make a dialogue accordin

20、g to the picture by using the sentence “Is there a …near here?” when they finish, I will ask some students to act their dialogue out. By this step, I can check whether they have grasped this kind of language points. The students can practice their speaking ability. Step 6 Making a summary I will m

21、ake a summary on the knowledge that we have learned in this class, the design of blackboard will do a great favor for me. Step 7 Homework I will ask them to make an interview by using the sentence “ Is there a …near your home?” Homework is so important and necessary to master the knowledge they l

22、earned after class. And this is also a good chance to let them know their classmates. The last part of my teaching plan is Blackboard Design: The blackboard will be divided into three parts, I will write some names of place on the left , write sentence structures on the right side of the blackboard.
