Learning objectives
1. Words and expressions
Review the words(ruler,book,pen) and learn the new words(pencil,pencil box, schoolbag, dictionary, eraser) and possessive pronoun( mine,his, hers, yours) to identify ownership.
2. Sentence patterns and communicative functions
Review sentence patterns (Is this/that...? Are these/those...? ) to identify ownership and use it to communicate with others.
3. Learning skills and strategy
(1). Listen for the detailed information.
(2). Make a dialogue about taking about personal things.
4. Affective objectives
Learn how to return other people’s things.

Teaching procedure
Stage1: Pre-listening
Step1: T presents the teaching aims to guide Ss to understand the key point of this lesson.
Step2: T guides Ss to brainstorm and present the new words according to T’s pictures on PPT. (ruler,book,pen,pencil,pencil box, schoolbag, dictionary, eraser).
Step3: Ss read these words together.
Step4: T checks Ss memory of words by looking and saying out the words quickly.
Step5: Ss do 1a activity and then check answers together.
Step6: T presents the possessive pronoun and review the sentence patterns by giving some examples about objects. (eg: This is my pencil, It’s mine. Is this your pencil? Is that your schoolbag? Yes, it is. It’s mine. No,it isn’t. It’s his/hers. Are these/those...? Yes, they are. They are mine. No, they aren’t. They are his/hers. )
Step7:T practices Ss’ understanding by making sentences with their personal things.(Is this/that...? Yes, it is. It’s mine. No,it isn’t. It’s his/hers.Are these/those...? Yes, they are. They are mine. No, they aren’t. They are his/hers.)
Step8: T presents the sentences including possessive pronoun(mine, his, hers, yours) and possessive adjectives(my, his ,her, your) to ask Ss to find out the commons and differences.
Step9: T guides Ss to find the commons and differences.
Step10: T asks Ss to change the sentences into the same meanings by given T on PPT.

Step11: T and Ss check answers together.
Step12: T guides Ss to check the meanings in 1b and asks Ss to listen to the main idea.
Stage2: While-listening
Step1: Ss listen to 1a the first time and number the order.
Step2: Ss check the answer together.
Step3: Ss listen to 1a again and then read the conversations together.
Stage3: Post-listening
Step1: Ss make a dialogue.(Is this/that...? Are these/those...?)
Step2: T makes some volunteers to report their dialogues..
Step3: T asks Ss to do some exercises to check their understandings.
Step4: T and Ss check answers together.
Step5: Ss summarize the key point of this lesson under T’s guidance.
