Unit 4 Where’s my schoolbag?
Section A 1a-2d
一、教学目标：
1. 语言知识目标：
1) 能掌握以下单词：table, where, bed, sofa, bookcase, chair, on, under, desk, room, think, their, hat, head.
2) 能掌握以下句型：
① — Where is my school?
— It’s on the table.
② — Are the keys on the sofa?
— No, they aren’t. They’re on the sofa.
③ Come on! Jack!.
④ I think it’s in your grandmother’s room .
⑤ Where is= Where’s.
2) 能了解以下语法：
用where疑问句询问物品的位置。
3）学会描述物品的方位。
2. 能力目标：训练学生的口语以及听力。
3. 情感态度价值观目标：
学会人际交往的基本常识，学会询问他人物品的位置，或者大家一起找某个事物，进而加强同学的交际能力。
二、教学重难点
1. 教学重点：
1) 运用所学提出询问位置，提问和应答。
2) 正确使用on, in, under等介词。
2. 教学难点：
1) 扎实掌握重点词汇和表示询问位置的句型并能灵活运用。
2) 通过听力练习和小组合作，理解并能提出关于方位询问和回答。
三、教学步骤
Ⅰ.Greeting
Greet the students as usual.
Lead-in
Let students make some phrases with these words: schoolbag, on, under.
Ⅱ. New phrases
Learn the new phrases according to the pictures:
Where are my books?
It’s under your bed.
They’re on the sofa.
It’s in your mother’s room.
Where is=Where’s
Read the new phrases (two times for each one).

III. New lesson
Step1
T: I forgot where I had put my books..
Can you find it for me, s1?
S1: yes, I can. It’s on the desk.
Ask several students to answer other questions.
Step 2
(Let students make a dialogue with the picture on the screen. Give them two minutes to do that.)
Then ask several groups to present their conversations.
IV. Practice
1. Ask one student to answer the question “Where is …?” according to the given picture. Help the student answer it. Teach the students how to answer the question with “It is on/in/under…”.
2. Ask more groups to ask items on the picture.
Where are my books?
It’s under your bed.
They’re on the sofa.
It’s in your mother’s room.
3. Practice the sentence structure.
Ways of practicing: ask and answer one by one; practice with partners
4. Ask several groups to act out.
V. Presentation
1. 引导学生们看大屏幕上问句及答语。
Look at the expressions on the screen: “Are the keys on the sofa?” “No, they aren’t”. Read the expressions to the class and the students repeat each one.
Say, where is my book? Have the S1 give the answer. Ask students to give their own questions. If necessary, T gives instructions.
Give them several minutes to practice.
3. Let the students practice the sentence structure “ Where is…?”, “It is on/in/under…”
4. VI. Listening
Work on 1b:
1. Listen to the tape, then number the things.
Work on 2a:
2. Listen and number the things
Work on 2b:.
3. Listen again, and find the things from 2a. At last, number them in the picture.
VII. Group work
Work on 2d.
Let groups ask and answer about the conversation. Then write a report of questions that they can not solve.
Ask different groups to give their reports.
Groups solve problems together with the questions others may know.
VIII. Summary
Let students summary what we have learned this class.
IX. Homework
1. Copy the first 17 words in unit4.
2. Recite 2d.
