活动1【导入】Pre－task　preparation
1. Play a guessing game with the S to lead in the topic of this text: Ant Grasshopper It is an insect. It is black. It can carry big things. It carries food and takes it to its home. It is an insect. It is green and sometimes it is yellow. It can jump very high. 2. T: Tell the Ss. When we are writing a story, we usually use simple past tense. Then guide the Ss to review past form of some regular or irregular verbs in this text. 3. Guide the Ss to review some key phrases in this text by doing the following matching: hard-working not lazy sing happily sing with a lot of fun outside out of a house collect bring together all the time always plenty of a lot of silly foolish Disappointed losing hope

1. Display the picture on page 40. Then ask the Ss some questions about the picture: l What can you see in the picture ? l What are they doing ? l Can you guess who is hard-working ? 2. Play a video about the story between the ant and the grasshopper. Then ask the Ss to do some T/ F questions: l The ant worked hard. ( T ) l The grasshopper worked hard too. ( F ) l In winter the grasshopper had a lot of food. ( F) l The ant helped the grasshopper. ( T ) 3. Ask the Ss to skim the text in a short time. Then answer the following questions: l Where did the ant and the grasshopper live? (They lived in a forest.) l How many seasons can you find in the story? What are they? (Three. They are summer, autumn, and winter.) 4. Ask the Ss to read the whole text again. Then finish the following table to see what the ant and the grasshopper did in summer, autumn and winter.
