Step 1 Presentation
1.Ask some questions :
1.)Have you ever been to Beijing ?
2.)When did you go to Beijing?
3.)How many times have you been to Beijing?
4.)Have you ever bought a computer?
5.)When and where did you buy it?
6.)How many times have you used it for an online tour ?
2.We often use these time expressions with the simple past tense :
yesterday , the other day , last… , … ago , just now . We often use these time expressions with the present perfect tense : already , ever , just , recently , yet , so far , up to now , till now , for … , since … , in the last / past ten years.
3. Teacher says : Now read page 40 and find out the differences between the simple past tense and the present perfect tense .

Step 2 Practice
1.Teacher says : Now complete part A on page 41 and underline the different time expressions .
2.Ask them to complete part B .
3.Teacher says : Now you have learnt a lot about the two tenses .Look at part D and help Millie complete her diary with the correct forms of the verbs in the box .
4.Ask them to do more exercises .
