Lucy: Exercise your eyes
I don’t have problems with my eyes, and I can see very well. I think it’s because I exercise them a lot. For example, I will let me eyes take a break every 20 minutes, and I will look at something further away for 20 seconds. Sometimes I will look to the left then to the right 2 times with my eyes closed then do the same looking up and down. If my eyes are dry, I will blink(眨眼)more.
Kate: Wear sunglasses on bright days
It’s important to wear sunglasses when you are outside, especially during the afternoon when the sunlight is bright. In fact, I always wear sunglasses to protect my eyes when I am outdoors.
Tom: Eat food for sight
My mother says that eating right things helps keep eyes healthy, so she always prepares me some food like dark green vegetables, eggs, nuts, beans and plenty of fruit. Fish is good for our eyes, too.

How to improve your reading skills
When you are learning English,listening ,speaking and writing are important. But reading can also be very helpful. When you read, you not only learn some new words, but also learn how to use them in sentences which are good examples for writing. Here are some suggestions for reading.
Try to read something that you can understand. If you need to stop every three words to use a dictionary , it means you still have a long way to go to improve your English.
Try to make your vocabulary larger. If there are four or five new words on a page, write them in your notebook. But don’t write them while you are reading. Instead , try to guess their meanings as you read. Then come back when you have finished reading to look them up in a dictionary and write them in your own vocabulary book. Then try to remember them.
Read what you think is interesting. Choose a book or a magazine about a theme that you like, because you are going to spend time and money reading it. You can also read newspapers. There are always popular themes for you to choose.

How to Stay Away From Being Short-sighted?
We’ll get short-sighted if we don’t pay attention to protecting our eyes. For example, my best friend Lily got short-sighted last year. Lucy is a smart girl. She studied very hard, so she often got an A in her exam. But she didn’t care much about her eyes. When she did her homework, she put her eyes very close to the desk. She felt that it could make her comfortable. When she went to bed, she usually did some reading in bed before falling asleep. Last year she couldn’t see persons and words clearly. Now she has to wear glasses from then on. How unhappy she is!
Eyes are the windows of a person. So here is some advice on how to protect our eyes. First, you should do eye exercises every day. Second, you’d better let your eyes take a break every 20 minutes when you do your homework. Third, you shouldn’t read in bed.
