The Importance of Reading Classics
Classics play a significant role in our life. Famous novels, speeches or poems tend to bring people courage, confidence and wisdom. So to get access to those great minds is no doubt a wise decision.
However, nowadays, few people feel like reading classics. A lot of reasons are responsible for this phenomenon. To begin with, most of them are in the shadow of practical minds. These classics are less likely to meet these needs such as possesing a professional skill or finding a good job. What's more, online reading helps people get information more easily and efficiently. In comparison, reading classics is much time-consuming. The last but not the least, people nowadays are too busy to read or to think.
As college students, we should fully realize the importance of reading classics. In the future, we are facing many pressure and challenges, and professional skill is obvious not a solution to all these problems. The habit of reading enlightening books enables us to deal with complex situations efficiently by enlarging our visions and deepening our thoughts.

The Damage of Public Facilities
With the improvement of living standard, more and more public facilities, such as public telephone booths and ATMs have been installed in the streets. It is necessary that we have to pay attention to the damage of these public facilities. On one thing, some people use them without care, which leads to inconvenience to others. On another, the damaged public facilities stain the beauty of the city.
Therefore, how to prevent public facilities from being damaged is worth paying attention. Firstly, public facilities should be made of hard materials so as to be more durable. Secondly, some devices should be adopted to protect them from being damaged. For example, like cars, we can install alarm devices in public facilities. Thirdly, from my point of view, it is essential that we civilize our citizens to behave morally. In other words, we should tell the citizens that it is shameful to destroy public facilities.
In fact, the ways to reduce the damage of public facilities are countless. It’s time that we took most effective ones to protect them.

Study Abroad or in China?
There is no consensus of opinions among people as to whether students should study abroad or not. Some people are of the view that the youths should go overseas for further study if possible, while others take an opposite stand, firmly believing that it is of no necessity for students to study in a foreign country .
Those people who maintain that it is good for students to go abroad for further study believe that diverse culture background can broaden students’ horizon. They also claim that overseas study can shape students’ personality because they are forced to deal with all kinds of difficulties by themselves.
Nevertheless, the other people who contend that domestic education is good enough for students argue that our educational quality has been greatly improved during the past decade. They also point out that domestic education is convenient and economical
As far as I am concerned, the former opinion holds more weight. For one thing, it can strengthen the learners’ abilities to understand and communicate with people from other cultures. For another, the developed countries still have a lot advanced knowledge which is worth our study. When all the factors are examined, we may reasonably come to the conclusion that studying abroad if possible is advisable.

作文取巧方法
一、 主题句原则。
　　一定要写一个主题句，放在文章的开头或者结尾，让读者一目了然！
To begin with, you must work hard at your lessons and be fully prepared before the exam(主题句). Without sufficient preparation, you can hardly expect to answer all the questions correctly
二、 一二三原则。
1)first, second, third, last(不推荐，原因：俗)
2)firstly, secondly, thirdly, finally(不推荐，原因：俗)
3)the first, the second, the third, the last(不推荐，原因：俗)
4)in the first place, in the second place, in the third place, lastly(不推荐，原因：俗)

一、 多变句式原则。
　　1)加法(串联)都希望写下很长的句子，像个老外似的，可就是怕写错，怎么办，最保险的写长句的方法就是这些，可以在任何句子之间加and, 但最好是前后的句子又先后关系或者并列关系。比如说： I enjoy music and he is fond of playing guitar. 如果是二者并列的，我们可以用一个超级句式： Not only the fur coat is soft, but it is also warm. 其它的短语可以用： besides, furthermore, likewise, moreover

　　(1)和(5)的句式最常见；如果加上其他三种互相交替，句子不是更多样化吗？
2)失衡句(头重脚轻，或者头轻脚重)
其实就是主语从句，表语从句，宾语从句的变形。

3)附加(多此一举)
定语从句和同位语从句或者是插入语。
