One day Tony was crossing the road when he was hit by a car. He fell and broke his arm. An ambulance(救护车) soon arrived and took Tony to a hospital. There a doctor operated on his arm. Then he put the arm in a cast(石膏).Tony couldn't move it at all.
"You must keep your arm in a cast for six weeks, "the doctor said. " You'll be all right then. "
At the end of six weeks, Tony went back to the hospital. The doctor took his arm out of the cast.
"Can you move your arm, Tony?” he asked.
Tony tried to move his arm. At first it was difficult, but soon he could move it easily.
"Yes, it's fine," he said. "Thank you very much."
"In a few days it will be as good as new, " the doctor said. "Just exercises it a little."

The doctor smiled. "Of course you will," he said. "You'll have no problems."

This is really a very fast game. Both sides are fighting for the ball all the time. We are enjoying every minute of it. Loud shouts can be heard here and there.

John, David and James were three brothers. Every year on their mother's birthday, they sent her expensive presents. They liked to show her how rich they were.

Maybe your maths teacher has already taught you how to find the centre of a circle(圆). It isn’t easy to learn and it takes some time to do so. Here’s a simple method(方法). This method can be easily learned in a few minutes.
Put a corner of a square(正方形的) piece of paper on the circumference (圆周) of a given circle, and you’ll see the two sides of the piece of paper meet the circle. And then you’ll get two points on the circumference. You may name them Point A and Point B. You may be sure that points A and B are the two ends of the diameter(直径). Draw a straight line through the two points A and B. Then do the same thing a second time in a different place to get another diameter.
