本课是第六单元话题三的第三课时，主要活动是通过看图、浏览文章标题对文章内容进行预测，学习常见的交通规则，通过阅读填表掌握寻读的阅读技巧等；学习常见的交通标志，并进一步学习交通规则以及一些简单的交通违规现象的英文表达法，培养学生的交通安全意识，懂得珍爱自己和他人的生命。还根据常识学习用祈使句来表达交通规则，帮助学生树立遵守交通规则的意识。

2. Do 1a & 1b. Look at the title of the passage and the picture in 1a. Guess what the passage is about. Then read 1a for the first time and check your guess.
Read 1a again and fill in the blanks in 1b individually. Then the whole class check the answers.

在本课中，学生在阅读活动以及看图完成任务的活动中，学会了认识一些交通标志，明白了一些交通规则，也谈论了在交通方面如何保证安全。安全是一个永恒的话题，因此，教师在教授学生用英语表达交通标志以及身边的一些交通规则的同时，还应引导学生学会遵守交通规则，共同维护交通秩序，同时要珍惜生命。
