My Family  我的家庭
There are seven people in my family. They are my grandfather, grandmother, father, mother, my two younger brothers and I. My father is a businessman. He is busy working everyday. My mother is a housewife. She cooks meals, washes clothes, and teaches us lessons everyday. One of my younger brothers is a middle school student, and we go to the same school. My grandparents help my parents look after the youngest brother every day. We go to the movies every Sunday. I love my family very much.

My Ideal Job 我理想的工作
My ideal job is to become a teacher after graduation. The reasons are as follows:
Firstly, I love being with the children. To stay with them, I find myself younger and happier. Secondly, I want to do something for the early education. Children education is the most important part because it can build up children’s character and body. Lastly, teaching is a job which receives great respect from other people.
In all, I will do my best to make my dream come true.

My Dream  我的梦想
I have a dream from the first time when I sit in a car—I want to drive.
Firstly, driving is the most meaningful way to meet human being’s dream of “faster”. What’s more, driving a car can take me to any place I want whether it rains, snows, blows or not. Lastly, a smooth ride in a good car is
enjoyable. With rows of trees moving backward rapidly, music played, wind blowing, my soul flies in the air. I love this feeling very much.
I wish my dream will come true in the near future.

The Job I Like  我爱慕的工作
I like to be a teacher. Three reasons have led me to choose this job.
First, teaching is learning. To make my lessons more helpful and interesting, I have to read more books, learn new knowledge and gain a better understanding of the world, which is the very thing I enjoy in my life. Second, teaching means freedom and independence. As a teacher, I am free to have my own ideas and make my own decisions. Finally, I like teaching because it makes me calm.
All in all, the reasons above make me like teaching.

My Teacher / My Favorite Teacher 我的老师/我最爱慕的老师
I have many good teachers. Among them Miss Huang is my favorite teacher. She is a beautiful lady. There is always a smile on her face. Miss Huang likes singing. She is good at playing the piano. In the evening, she always sits in front of the piano and plays nice music. She is a good dancer, too Sometimes she teaches us dancing. Miss
Huang likes dogs very much because the dog is very friendly and lovely. Her favorite color is blue, because blue is the color of the sky and the sea. She is my favorite teacher. Our classmates all like her very much.

My Hometown  我的家乡
My hometown is Haimen, which is not far from Shanghai. Haimen is a modern city. There are lots of high buildings in it. Most of us live in flats because we can be close to our friends. My hometown is a beautiful city. On either side of the roads, there are some big trees and nice flowers. The roads are also very clean, which makes people happy and pleasant. The weather here is very nice. I like autumn best, for it is neither hot nor cold but very cool. I love Haimen. Welcome to my hometown.

A Good Teacher to Remember 难忘的老师
A saying goes “Each teacher has his own attraction”. It is really true. I remember all my teachers for different reasons but there is one teacher that is always and will always be different from the rest. She is Miss Wang – my senior high school English teacher. She came into my life and taught me the will to succeed, and always learn as possible as I can about the world around me.

Miss Wang was slim and beautiful, and always had a sweet smile on her face. So it was natural that the first impression she gave me was that she was kind and thoughtful. I’ve learnt a lot from her and I’ll always remember her.

Liu Kai is my classmate/ my best friend / my close friend. He is a good student and always ready to help others. One day on his way to school, he saw a little girl crossing the road when a car nearly hit her. Just then Liu Kai rushed up to her and caught her by the arm. The little girl was saved. She told him where she lived, and he took her home. When Liu Kai hurried into the classroom, the teacher had already begun the lesson. He told the teacher why he was late. He was then praised for what he had done.

The One I Love Most 我最爱的人
My father is the one I love most. I think he is the best man in the world. He loves me all the time whatever is happening. He is always telling me to be an honest person, which makes my character. Besides, he always encourages me to keep on trying instead of giving up when I’m faced with difficulties and hardships. I am very thankful for what he has done for me.
I’ll always love my father and will do whatever I can to make a better life for him.

My Favorite Hobby 我最爱慕的兴趣
I have many hobbies, such as reading, singing, dancing, playing basketball. Among them, reading is my favorite. The reasons are as follows:
Firstly, I can learn much knowledge and what is happening around the world through reading books, newspapers and magazines. Secondly, reading makes me wise. Through reading other people’s stories and past experience, I get to know how to get along with people. Lastly, I can also enjoy many places of interests and the beauty of our motherland.
In a word, reading is my favorite hobby.

My Hobbies  我的兴趣
I have many hobbies, such as sports, singing, playing the violin and keeping a diary. I like sports very much. I go running at six o’clock in the morning. After classes in the afternoon, I play table-tennis with my friends. These sports keep me healthy. At home, I like to sing and play the violin. I practice singing and playing the violin every day. I am very busy, but I am quite happy. Of all my hobbies I like reading books best. In my bedroom there are nearly three hundred books. There are story books, textbooks, magazines, and others. All these books have enriched my knowledge and life.

My Activities in Leisure Time / My Leisure Activities / How I Spend My Spare Time

The most important duty of college students is studying. But besides studying, we should also enjoy a good life in our leisure time. There are many ways of spending the leisure time. My ways are as follows.
First of all, I spend about half of my leisure time in listening to music. In this way, I can relax myself both physically and mentally; thus, I am able to study well in the future. Secondly, I spend part of my spare time doing some exercises.  Basketball is my favorite sports game.  It keeps me healthy.  Finally, reading is necessary to my study.  So I’ll use some spare time to read.
These are the major ways I spend my spare time.  Of course, I won’t forget “Time is money”. I will start studying hard after a good rest.

My Favorite TV program  我最爱慕的电视节目
The News Report has always been my favorite TV program. The reasons are as follows.
Firstly, the News Report has a lot of information, such as the international political situation, the latest football game. Secondly, the most important aspect is its fast pace. Because of this, news programs can show much information in a short time. Thirdly, the News Report is more than a TV program. It is a way of exchanging ideas. From this program, people can know and understand world affairs.
All in all, I especially enjoy watching the News Report.

The Sports Activities I Like Best / My Favorite Sport  我最爱的体育运动/我爱慕的运动
Of all the sports, I like table-tennis best.
Firstly, I think table-tennis is a game that needs power and skill. While playing table-tennis, we should decide the direction of the ball, and hit it back with great strength. At the same time we need to pick up the ball which falls to the ground. Secondly, I think playing table-tennis can build our bodies, keep us healthy and train our brains. Lastly, it can help us to learn to cooperate with others.
All in all, my favorite sport is table-tennis.

My Favorite Food 我最爱慕的食物
I like many different kinds of foods. Among them, egg is my favorite. The reasons are as follows.
Firstly, egg has a lot of good things that are needed by the human body. Secondly, egg is the basic part to many dishes, like egg and tomato, French toast and various kinds of soups. Thirdly, one can easily get eggs at any market, and they are cheap.
In a word, egg is my favorite food.

The Book I Like Best 我最爱的一本书
My favorite book is Dream of the Red Chamber. The book tries to tell us that there are different kinds of love, only one kind should be considered as True Love. In our life, we should value true love instead of wealth and good looks. From this book, we also get to know a part of the noble people’s life in Qing Dynasty and find some life philosophies from it. So this book is very helpful to people. We should learn more from this book and other books.

My Favorite Means of Getting Information 我最爱的获取信息方式

2) 我最喜欢获取信息的方式.
In modern society, there are many ways to get information. You can surf the internet, watch TV, listen to the radio, read newspapers and so on to get information. But among these ways, my favorite means of getting information is surfing the internet. The reasons are as follows:
For one thing, the internet is convenient, and I can search the information online. For the other thing, the information online is very rich and I can get whatever kind of information I want.
In conclusion, I like to get information by using the internet.

My Favorite Season 我最爱的季节
There are four seasons in a year: spring、summer、autumn and winter. I love them very much but the most favorite season is spring.
Spring is a wonderful season. It's warmer than winter, cooler than summer and more lovely than autumn. In spring, leaves turn green and flowers become beautiful. They come out of the ground. In spring, we can play outside all day. The air is fresh and it makes us comfortable. I love spring because it gets warmer. Spring is the time for planting. The ground becomes softer and warmer from the rain and the sun.

My Favorite Subject我最喜欢的科目
I like math best because it is logical. Math helps to exercise brains, and makes us smarter. Math can be used in all fields of science, and so it is said that math is the mother of all subjects.
However, math is not easy to study. It requires a high degree of intelligence. But what is the most important in studying math is hard work. Though one isn’t clever enough, he can study it through hard work. Many facts have proved this point. Math is a challenge and that is why I like it.

My Favorite Vehicle 我最爱慕的交通工具
I like riding very much. I often go to school by bike. When I go on a trip, I enjoy riding a bike. It's so wonderful and interesting. Cars usually produce terrible gas. And our environment has become worse and worse now. It's our duty to protect our environment. Riding a bike can not only protect our environment but also save money. What's more, riding a bike can keep us healthy .And it's easy to park. I will keep on riding a bike. It is good for my health. And it is popular in the public now.
