（一）could的用法
could是情态动词can的过去式，在句中不能单独做谓语，后面必须跟其他动词原形才能做谓语。它在句中通常有两种作用。
1、 表示能力，意为“能、会”，此时必须与过去时间状语连用。 （1）
I could ride a bike at the age of eight.
2、表示许可或请求，常用来请求别人做某事或自己做某事要征求别人的许可。此时could不是can的过去式，而是使语气更委婉。
Could I use your pen?
----Yes, sure. / ----Sorry, you can’t.
(二)辨析can与could
can与could都是情态动词，could是can的过去式，二者后面都要接动词原形。
二者都可以表示能力，相当于be able to。 此时，can 与现在的时间状语连用，could与过去的时间状语连用。
二者都可以表示请求或许可，但could比can语气更委婉，回答都用can。
Can/ Could you help me? Yes, I can. / No, I can’t.
(三)表示委婉的提出请求及被永许做某事的句型
Could you please+ do sth?
Could you + do sth?
Would you please+ do sth?
Would you + do sth?
肯定回答常用Sure./ Certainly. / Of course/ With pleasure/ All right./ No problem./ I’d love to.等，
否定回答用I’m afraid not,/ Certainly not. /Sorry, I( you )can’t /I’d love to but I …, 并说明原因。
与take 有关的短语;
take out 取出（代词做宾语时，放在两词中间）或把某人带出去
take off 脱下，（飞机）起飞 take away拿走，取走
take …to…把……带到….. take sb. for a walk 带某人去散步
take one’s time不急，慢慢干 take exercise运动，锻炼
take a bus(ship/ train…) 乘公共汽车（轮船/火车…）

1、I’m going to work on it。
work on （1）意为“从事，忙于（某工作）”，相当于be busy with。 on 是一个介词（=upon），后接名词或代词做宾语。
（2）“继续工作”之意，此时on是副词，后不接宾语。
He is working on the math problem.(介词)

2、 I hate to do chores.
hate 是一个及物动词，意为“讨厌、憎恨”，后接名词、代词、动名词或不定式做宾语。
即hate to do / doing sth. 讨厌干某事。其反义词为like (like to do / doing sth. 喜欢干某事)
I hate meat.
I hate to play /playing soccer.
I like to play/ playing soccer.

1. Could I borrow some money?
borrow, lend , keep的区别。
borrow, lend都有“借”之意。borrow指从别人那里借来东西（人），其固定搭配为borrow sth.(sb.) from sb. (somewhere), 意为“向某人或某处借某物{人}。Lend指把某物借给某人，其固定搭配为lend sth. to sb.(=lend sb. sth.)
keep在表示“借”的意思时，通常表示借某物多长时间，后接for短语。
2、agree with sb., 表示“与某人有相同的看法”；
agree to one’s ideas/ one’s words表示“同意某人的建议、安排等”。
