Is there life on Mars（火星）? We do not know. We are sure that earthman can not live on Mars. Earthman need oxygen（氧气）to breath. There is almost no oxygen on Mars.
Living on Mars would be like living on a very high mountain. There would be little air. The temperature（温度） might be 50 degrees above zero at noon and 100 degrees below zero at night.
Many people think there may be plants on Mars. We know that Mars has carbon（碳）. This is a kind of material（物质） found in all plants and animals on the earth. Have you ever seen people building houses? To build a house, you need workers. They use their hands tools(工具)and machines to put things together. Building the ISS(国际空间站)is almost the same. The difference is that the workers are astronauts. They walk in space and use robots’ arms and hands to do the work.
Inside the space station, astronauts are comfortable. The temperature(温度) there stays at about 21℃. But outside the station, temperatures can be too hot or cold for people. In the sunlight(阳光), it’s about 120℃. In the shadow(阴暗处) of the station, it’s about 85℃ below zero. So when astronauts walk in space, they have to wear heavy clothes—spacesuits(太空服).
