B:yes ,people could find advertisements everywhere .such as TV,radio ,newspapers or magazines .
A:truly ,advertisements are something unavoidable no matter whether you like them or not .
B:but I don't really like advertisements when I am watching my favourite TV play .
A:me,too .luckily .this is a new policy that we could watch TV continuously,that's no advertisements would trouble us.
B:pretty good .what's your feeling of advertisements ?

B:on the contrary dislike advertisements.I think they are misleading in our daily life .advertisements can encourage us to buy something with poor quality .
A:actually,It's common phenomenon now .these manufacturers want to earn much money ,so make their products known to consumers by advertisements .however ,they have more advantages.
B:so what ?that's still a selling technique.
A:first ,advertisements provides us with useful information on services or advertisements.besides ,with advertisements ,we could save a lot of time in choosing the kind product we want .
B:I see, advertisements an provides us with suggestions actually,Just imagine,if there weren't commercial advertisements ,newspapers ,radio,and TV companies can't survive.
A: yeah !it's reasonable.
B:I hope the manufactures could take advantage of advertisements to do more beneficial things .
Language learning
A: i know that you have gotten first prize in recent English contest. How do you study English so well?
B: well, i learn it depending on the speaking mostly.
A: mm, do you often speak English with your friends? To tell the truth, i seldom speak English, because i'm afraid of making mistakes and i don't want to lose face, so sometimes i give up.
B: yes, the speaking is a very important skill to improve your English. For me, i speak little and make mistakes whenever I open my mouth to speak English from the beginning. But latter, I try to speak English as much as I can.
A: I see, you aren't afraid of making mistakes or losing face?
B: no,no, i'm also afraid of making mistakes or losing face, however, I think mistakes are probably unavoidable when we try to speak a foreign language.
A: that's right, just like the saying goes 'no mistakes, no progress ', I shouldn't pay much attention to mistakes.
B: yes, if you met a native speaking of English for the first time, what topics would you like to talk?
A: er, let me see, i may talk topics like the weather, places, trips, hobbies and so on.
B: actually, these topics are appropriate, but I think personal questions should be avoided.
A: yes, thanks for the advice.

Animals
A: It must be very difficult for dogs to live in cities.
B: Why’s that?
A: well, most of them are locked up in apartments when their owners are away.
B: that’s true. But there must be a lot of excitement for them sometimes too, when they are taken out for a walk, all the people in the streets, and other pets, and all the interesting smells, especially from restaurants.
A: yes, I like pets, I think pets are good company, especially to lonely old people, they can help people kill loneliness.
B: You’re right, I’m also like pets, but keeping pets costs time and money, I can’t afford either. So I give up keeping them.

B: just little. for example, on formal occasions, black leather shoes should a man wear.
A: yes, and do you know what the ‘first custom’ in the international society is?
B: sorry, I don’t know. What’s it?
A: it is ‘lady first’
B: oh, I get it. Can you give me some introduction of the difference between foreign culture and Chinese culture?
A: er, as know, in China, there are the Spring Festival, the Dragon Boat Festival, Mid-Autumn Day and so on. While in western countries, there are Easter，April Fool's Day，Mother's Day，Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day and so on.
B: could you tell me in detail?
A: take the acception of gift for example, Chinese and English country also show different attitude to accept the gift , in English culture, people normally open it and praise it face to face, finally they are glad to say' thank you', I think you know it in China.
B: Sure, Chinese will tend to behave to accept the gift in desperation, and not open it now. This is really different from our customs.
A: right, do you how American celebrate on New Year's Day?
B: I don't know, but i know on that day, Chinese people will give red envelopes to children and young adults.
A: while in American, people have parties and make 'resolutions', which are promises to try to improve theirselves somehow.
B: oh, these celebrations have the same purposes.
A: actually.
