　On the importance of a name
Interestingly, recently the importance of a name has been brought into hot discussion.
Some people strongly believe that a name is responsible for a person’s fate, that’s why they would take all the trouble to try various ways to find wonderful names for their children, expecting the names would work magic for a glorious future. According to these people, a child may grow up happy, smart, attractive, elegant or successful due to their names.
Despite that, others have voiced a different opinion that a name is relatively insignificant comparing to the efforts a person makes to realize his/her future dream as a person’s fate is dominantly decided by a person himself/herself instead of the name he/she was given at his/her birth. Opportunities may count; and a person’s own efforts and decisions definitely count; but a name simply functions as the way of the person being called by others, which doesn’t work to change one’s life.
As far as I am concerned, a beautiful name certainly is one of the factors to make a great first impression. However, it’s not so important and powerful as to decide a person’s future. To grab the fate, we need intelligence, honesty, sincerity and efforts more than a name.

　　In recent years, many people become more and more concerned about the importance of a name. They choose very carefully the names for their children and sometimes even for the shop, restaurant or the company they run. They consider that a name can influence a person’s whole life. What’s more, some people believe that sometimes a good name would bring good luck.
　　However, people’s view varies from person to person. Not everyone thinks a deliberately chosen name really means so much. They argue that a name is just a name, to which people shouldn’t attach too much superstitious ideas. Success depends much more on hardworking and down-to-earth attitude than how you name a shop or a person.
　　As far as I am concerned, I favor the latter opinion. Although a carefully chosen name can tell the best wishes of the elder for the young generation, we still ought not to rely on the fortune a name can bring, nor can we blame our occasional bad luck on it. （160词）

When most people are aware of the significance of physical health, we must also remind them of the value of mental health.

In recent years, there have been many reports about misbehaved students resort to violence. Such behavior has exerted negative impacts towards other students, families as well as the society in a whole. Therefore how to improve students' mental health has always been a priority issue of our universities society. To develop a student in a all-round way is the purpose of our quality-oriented education.

Firstly, parents as the first teacher in students' life should play an important role. The parenting method as well as the whole family environment has a direct influence towards the students. Parents should not turn to "punishment" as a tool to teach their children. Instead, they should talk to them, find out the reasons behind a certain behavior and guide them through the difficulties. Parents should always be a good listener.

Secondly, teachers should be trained to help students in a comprehensive way. Teachers should not just emphasize on a student's academic performance. Some students feel like they are being ignored by their teachers just because they are not performing well in the exams, therefore as a responsible teacher, learning to treat each student fairly is of great importance.

Finally, it is our shared vision to build a secure and harmonious social environment for the next generation, the future of our nation.

As is known to all, psychological health is as important as, if not more important than, physical health for a student during his/her growth. However, it’s quite worrying that nowadays some students are not quite psychologically healthy.

Undoubtedly, schools and universities should take great account in the responsibilities of students’ psychological health. Relevant courses and activities should be introduced to students so that they would be more aware of the significance of psychological health and find appropriate ways to maintain and improve it. For example, there should be a psychological counseling hotline or office for students to turn to when they need some psychological aid.

Of course no psychological health can be obtained without the efforts from the students themselves. From my perspective, what they can do is trying to stay positive, optimistic and follow the right guidelines from their schools. To be more specific, they can participate in some activities such as voluntary work to cultivate an opening and caring mind. Meanwhile, harmful impacts from the cyber space should definitely be avoided.

    A great many people presume upon a reward when doing a good deed. First and foremost,
 there is a natural tendency to equate doing good deeds with a certain amount of reward, 
and reward with a certain amount of money. What is more, they maintain that since the 
basis of contemporary society is money, one of the major means of earning money is 
getting reward by doing good deeds.
    On the contrary, the vast majority of people assume that doing a good deed 
should be based on people’s personal interests. Hence, doing a good deed is fulfilling
 itself and reward is of minimal significance. Numerous examples can be given, but this
 will suffice. Mr. Leifeng lived a simple life dedicated to doing good deeds without 
expecting any reward and helping people from all walks of life, yet he was remembered

    Generally speaking, it is my view that we should not expect a reward when doing
