I have many friends. One of them is my classmate Ma Hua.He is a League member and one of the best students in my class.He is fond of English and good at it. He often practises reading aloud. So he has a good pronunciation.

About an Speech Contest
Dear John,
Thank you for your kind letter. You told me that you and most of you classmates went out for a three-day trip. I really think it fun. Now let me tell you something about a speech contest, which I have taken part in.
The contest was held at the playground last Saturday morning, 7:00a.m. The panel is made up of 5 English teachers from our school, all of whom were experienced. Moreover, a total number of 20 competitors came from we Grade 2. It was made a rule that the top 3 competitors would be awarded. It is a great competition and all the participants perform well. I was so lucky that I won the first place.

It's spring now. The weather is warm and comfortable. It's a good time for hiking. Therefore, my teacher organized a climbing for us. There is a beautiful mountain in my city and it's target this time. We took bus there and arrived there at 9 p.m.. After we took off the bus, we started to climb. The mountain is high but the scenery is beautiful. We are so excited that we climbed fast at first. But after a while, some of us were tired,especially girls. They did not want to go on anymore. But some others encouraged and helped them. All of us slowed down our speed, so that no one was left behind. About 11:00 p.m., we got to the top of the mountain. We were so happy that we did it. We feel that all the tiredness were worth it.

My birthday is on May 6. My parents and friends celebrate it to me every year. On that day, we usually hold a small birthday party at home and invite my friends to come for a dinner. We chat, watch TV or play games together that we really enjoy ourselves. When we are playing, my parents prepare a delicious dinner. My friends and I like the dishes very much. Of course, I can get some gifts from parents and friends. I am very happy because they always know what I want and need. But, on the other hand, when the birthday comes, I am a year older, so that I must be more sensible and independent. Last but not the least, it’s also a time to show my appreciation to my parents. They work hard and do their best to bring me up.

When asked money and love which one is more important, different people have different ideas. As for me, love is more important. My reasons are as follows.
First, money cannot buy true love. The girl who firmly stated on a TV dating show that she would rather cry in a BMW than smile on a bicycle is just a case in point. From this point we can see that, no matter how rich people are, they cannot buy true love.
Second, love is above wealth. "Naked" wedding, or "naked" marriage is a hot topic these days. More and more young people begin to marry each other without a big property. In these cases, love is more important than money.

How to Keep Healthy
People often ask and are asked that what is the most important thing in life. Some people answer that family is the most important and others say love, work or money. In my opinion, health is the most important in life. However, how to keep healthy?

Firstly, being positive. A positive attitude towards life must be good to health. It also brings you power to overcome disease. Secondly, taking exercise regularly. Taking exercise regularly or even every day helps you build a strong body which is the base of health. Exercise can improve the ability of the body to fight disease. Thirdly, making friends, because friendship is an important part to influence your health. Many studies show that people with a wide range of social contacts get sick less than those who don＇t. I always feel better when I am with friends than when I am alone. Finally, eating properly, having good rest and building normal daily routine are aslo important to health.
Health is a problem we should attach importance to. Only build a healthy body can us live a better life.
