1. add
vt.加，添加，补充说
vi.增加，添加
add sth. to sth. 把…… 加到……上去，在……中加上……
Add 3 to 4, and you’ll get 7. 3加4等于7。
Add sugar to milk.给牛奶加糖。

Your coming added to our happiness.
你的到来增添了我们的快乐。
The terrible weather added to our difficulty. 糟糕的天气增加了我们的困难。
add up 加起来

2. ignore
vt.不理睬，忽视
ignore sb./sth. 忽视，忽略某人/某事
The soldier ignored the danger and saved the girl. 战士不顾危险救了那个女孩。

3. calm
单词辨析：
calm: 平静的，沉着的 指无风浪或人的心情不激动。
quiet: 宁静的，安静的 指没有声音，不吵闹或心里没有烦恼焦虑。
still: 静止的，不动的 指没有运动或动作的状态。
silent: 寂静的，沉默的，不发音的 指没有声音或不讲话。

4. have got to 不得不，必须 相当于have to .
It’s raining , so I have got to stay at home. 下雨了，我不得不呆在家里。

5. concern
(1) vt.（使）担忧；涉及；关系到
Does this concern me?
这与我有关吗？
His illness concerned his mother.
他的病使他母亲担忧。
(2) n. 担心；关注；（利害）关系
The main concern of parents is their children’s future.
父母主要关心的是孩子的未来。

常用结构：
be concerned about/with sb./sth. 关心，担心；挂念
His mother was very concerned about his illness.他母亲很担心他的健康。

6. go through
(1) 经历，经受（困难、痛苦的事情）
The world has gone through 2 wars. 世界经历了两次战争。
(2) 通过，穿过
This road goes through the forest. 这条路穿过树林。
(3) 仔细检查
Please go through your papers. 请仔细检查你们的试卷。

7. set down

9. outdoors
(1)adv.在户外；在野外
The children are playing outdoors.
