一 单词与词组
1 keep out 阻止。。。（进入）；不让。。。（进入）
You don’t keep us out 这里的us是宾语但是因其是代词所以放在out 的前面
My clothes can keep out the cold windy
与这个类似的短语是keep out of….表示阻止。。。 抵挡。。。
You must keep out of all of trouble 你必须少找麻烦（你不许低档所有的麻烦）
Can you keep out of his asking questions ? 你能阻止他问问题吗？
复习 keep sb(sth) + 形容词（ 介词短语和动名词）
How do you keep yourself young for ever ? I keep myself running for two hours every day.
你如何保持你永远年轻的？（young 形容词）我每天保持跑2个小时（running动名词）
You can’t keep them in the sun for a long time .你不能让他们在阳光下待很久（in the sun）
2 argue with (注意argue的名词是argument ----have a argument with ..与。。有一次争吵)
3 what is wrong with ….(sth;sb) ? =what is the matter with…(sb;sth) 问谁或者什么怎么了？
4 be out of style 过时 be in style 流行 时髦 5 call sb up 6 on the phone (on computure)
7 a ticket to … 一张。。。门票 一张篮球赛的门票
8 surprise 使。。。惊讶（惊奇） Her words surprised us that day 那天她的话使我们惊讶。
Be surprised 惊奇 惊讶 We were surprised when we saw them in the park .
be surprised at… 对。。。惊讶（惊奇）I was surprised at her words 我对她的话惊讶
be surprising 令人惊讶的（惊奇的）That thing is very surprising .那是非常令人惊讶的。
9 pay 的 过去式 paid
pay …(money) for…. 买。。支付。。。(钱) She paid 25$ for her new clothes=She took 25$ to buy her new clothes=She spent 25$ on her new clothes (仔细钻研这三句话)
pay for 支付。。。

11 either 表示“也”只在否定句中使用，并且和主句用“，”隔开
She won’t go to Peking ,so I won’t go ,either .
Too 表示“也”用于肯定句或者疑问句中，并且和主句用“，”隔开
You can finish your homework on time ,I can do ,too.
Also 表示“也”用于肯定句 其位置是在动词之前be动词之后。
I also will go there , She is also sixteen years old.
12 the same as…
一般动词格式 。。。the same as 主语 do或者does 一般现在时
。。。。the same as 主语 did 一般过去式
。。。。 the same as 主语 will 将来是
Does she have the same haircut as he does ? (as him)主句是一般现在
She wore the same clothes as I did(as me) 主句是一般过去式
She will go there at the same time as they will (as them)主句是一般将来时
若是主句是带be的句式
She is the same age as I am=She is the same age as me
She was in the same collge as I was(as me)
She will be the same tall as he will (as him)
She is doing the same thing as they are (as them)
只要主句中带be的形式as后若用主格 就用和前面一样be的形式
The same as 若接宾格 就没有助词
13 except 介词 除。。。之外。 All of them went to Shanghai except Tom .
14 fail vi 失败；考试不及格
If you don’t study hard , you will fail this English test .如果你不努力学习，你这次英语考试讲不及格。 Our plan failed at last ,Our dream didn’t come out .
Fail in doing sth 做…失败 They failed in playing football.
15 get on well with sb 与谁搞好关系（与谁关系融洽）
He got on well with his new friends (提问well 用how ) How did he get on with his friends ?
16 return sth to …把。。还给谁 Did you return that book to him yesterday ?
Borrow sth from … 从。。。借到 什么 。When did you borrow this bike from Tom ?
17 not…until….直到。。。才。。。
他们直到打扫完教室才回家。They didn’t get home until they cleaned the classroom .
【这是2句话，第一句（他们）才回家。第二句是 他们直到打扫完教室（注意若2句话是同一主语时在汉语中才前的主语通常省落；在这句话中才后面的是主句并且就是否定形式，直到放在until 后面）】
他直到他父母回来才睡觉 。第一句是 他才睡觉，第二句是直到他父母回来
He didn’t go to bed until his parents came back .= He went to bed after his parents came back
Not…until…改after时候 第一，把主句的否定改为肯定，第二把until 改为after
18 fit …into….把。。。安排到。。。（里面）
Can you fit the boy into your class ? 你能把这个孩子安排在你班里吗 ？
You can’t fit too much homework into his free time .你不能把太多的作业挤进他的空闲时
19 as…as possible 尽可能。。（注意as….as中间是形容词或者副词的原级）
You should speak as loud as possible 你应当讲地尽可能声音大。
As…as possible = as…as 主语 can (could)
You should speak as loud as you could .
20 pressure 压力 不可数名词 under too much pressure .
21 complain about 抱怨。。。抗议。。。控诉。。。
You couldn’t complain about too much homework 你不能抱怨太多的作业。
You shouldn’t complain about cleaning your room every day 你不应当抱怨每天打扫你的房间。
