The double chamfering machine type RPF.6/R has been specifically designed for car pads, as the double chamfering operation is normally requested on this type of pads. Should the customer be requesting the double chamfering operation on other type of pads (CV or motorbikes pads) , the machine can be simply adapted.

Comec Press Division, using the AFT twenty-year experience in press manufacturing, together with Comec Grinders, using its high level for automation and cutting edge technologies, merge to produce a highly innovative product. Comec Press Division joins friction material processing in taking advantage of the quality standards utilized in grinding field in order to produce presses for brake pad manufacture. The FLEXMATIC 300 system is designed in a modular way, in order to offer various levels of automation dependent on the client’s requirements. The two main units are the press, and post-curing stations, are fed by several devices. The layout can include one or two mixture elevators to produce pads with or without underlayer respectively. Considering the most automated configuration, FlexMatic 300 system is the ideal solution where maximum flexibility and very short set up times are required, as in small batches of differently shaped pads. Shifting from one kind of pad to another generally requires replacement of the mould and exceptionally, of the lower plates of post-curing units. Productivity depends upon the pressing cycle times, and can reach up to 500 pads per hour. All devices are closed by means of sensor enabled protection, so safety law requirements are met.
