Flying through time

A jobless man wanted very much to have the position of “office boy” at Microsoft. I once experienced an unforgettable trip to Gloucester to see some of the world’s most beautiful
and exciting animals in their own habitat, the North Atlantic Ocean.
After a long trip by bus, we got on the ship. After a while, we stopped and everyone began to shout because we saw a humpback whale（座头鲸）. It was wonderful. Sometimes, whales came so close to the ship that you thought you could easily touch them.

My teenage son Karl became withdrawn after his father died. As a single parent, I tried to do my best to talk to him. But he didn’t talk anything with me and even with others. When his report card arrived during his junior year, it said that he had been absent 95 times from classes and had six failing grades for the year. At this rate he would never graduate.
