人们常说“知识确实是力量”，这句话我深有体会。有一次我和爸爸去游泳，爸爸不记得把手表摘下来，就跳进游泳池。等到他觉察时，他刚买不久的卡西欧电子表已经没有液晶显示了。回家后，爸爸心疼地说：“今天损失大了，手表进水了，还要再买一个手表。”我把手表拿过来一看，觉察手表内部只是有些受潮。我想起来书上说过把受潮的手表与防潮剂一起放入密闭的容器内，数小时后手表的潮气即可消失。因此我拆开一包波力海苔，取出防潮剂，把手表和防潮剂一起放进一个小盒子里，第二天打开一看，手表又好了，爸爸欢乐地不断夸我是个“百科全书”。
