As a human being, one can hardly do without a friend, for life without friends will be a lonely voyage in the vast dark sea or one in the barren desert. Traly, a friend gives out light and warmth like a lamp. For this reason, I have always felt it a blessing if a friend comes to console me in my sadness, cheer me up in my low spirits, or heartedly share with me my happiness. It is wonderful, too, to feel that someone is standing by me and ready to provide help and encouragement in my pursuit of a noble and glorious cause.

For millions of years, people have heaped beautiful verses and essays upon friendship. Yet, they, too, have mercilessly accused false friendship, for there are always some mean characters who approach you and act as dear friends when you are wealthy or influential, but desert or even betray you the instant you come down in the world or are entrapped by unfortunate things. Therefore, people all attach great importance to the recognition of true friendship. And a faithful friend is considered even more precious than a priceless pearl or a precious stone. The old saying A friend in need is a friend indeed has become the teaching and standard for true friends.

Still, it is natural that different people observe different principles in making friends. Some view it important to make friends with whom they may share similar interests or hobbies with. Others are liable to befriend VIPs so as to gain some favors or privileges. And I am of those who think very little of similarity or position or power. So long as a person has a heart of gold, being warm-hearted, selfless, honest, open-minded, but not brutal, cold, shortsighted nor narrow~minded, I am willing to make friends with him or her, give my due support and help, and remain faithful to him or her all my life.

Friends can be classified into two kinds, good friends and evil friends. Evil friends lead us astray and may destroy our life, while good ones drive us towards the right and make our life successful.

My Ideal Friend

Friend is better than fortune。 Friend also is worse than poison in some cases。 The above two statements are opposite and seem to be ueasonable but they can be explained as follows： the latter implys all evil friends who lead us go astray; the former implys all good friends who drive us towards right。

My ideal friend is of course a good friend whose goodness is shown below： He has no bad likings， as smoking or drinking。 He lives in frugality。 He studies diligently so as not to waste his golden time。 At home he honors his parents and loves his siblings; at school he venerates his teachers and sympathizes with his schoolmates。 In a word， he has all the good characters better than

In our life we come across many people,and of them we like some. People we like,we consider them as friends. Dictionary defines friend as “A person whom ones knows, likes and trusts.” There are three kinds of friends: friends whom we meet and see only at school, friends whom we loose as we grow, and best friends who are there for us no matter what kind of situation we are in.

Frist, friends we see and meet only at school. We might have known them for a long time, but the most we must have spoken to them about is their names and what classes they are taking. These school friends are nice to talk, but never to do anything more than that. If we happen to see them out of school we act like we don’t even know them. At most we will throw a smile at each other. When we leave school, few of them can stay in touch with us, they disappeared just as we hadn’t known them.

Second, the friends we have known once upon a time, who will bing back memories of those days. When we are together with those friends, we do anything to have a good time and a good laugh. The most we talk about is school, work,weekend,funny things and some parts of our life, but never our personal life and our feelings. We have fun together most of the time and we don’t mind seeing and hanging out with others out of school. These friends are better than friends in school, but they can help us nothing when we get in troubles.

Final, our best friends, who are there for us all the time and try to help us out of even our deepest troubles. These friends are always ready to apare their time, joys and sorrows, may it be ours or theirs,and even their lives for us. They have seen us tears, embarrassed us, have been mean to us, they are important in our life, these friends are whom we can truly trust. We can’t live alone without these friends, when we possess of these friends, we have the world.

Our life is connected with others around us, so friends are together with us through our life. A person who don’t have any friend,his life must be miserable. We have a lot bowing acquaintances, and we just some best friends we can count on them.

From thousands years ago to today, friendships always exist. People also like to talk about what is the true friendship. Though thousand years have gone, there are different views on what is the true friendship.

There I also want to show my point. Maybe because of my laziness, I often sit on grassland to think some ueal things. So I have had my own understanding of friendship. Of course, my understanding is totally based on single boys.

To me, friends can be divided into three kinds. First is ordinary friend, and then is deep friends, and the most reliable is brothers.

In my own opinion, everyone we know can be our friends. Because they can help us when helping us doesn’t holdback them. Also we will help them when we can. But these ordinary friends won’t help you when it can make them into trouble. They can’t be relied on.

And what are true friends? True friends are who you can believe. Whenever you ask them for help, they’ll help you; whenever you need somebody to talk, they’ll listen to you; whenever you misunderstand them for something, they’ll forgive you. Anyway they’ll be on your side whenever you need them.

Brothers are the most reliable people. They keep an eye on you. When you need help, they’ll come to help without your asking. Actually I can’t express the idea exactly. But as brothers, they will laugh with you, weep with you, even crime with you if it is good to you. Maybe someone think these so-called brothers are wrong to crime to help. However this may let us know the brothers.

There is no doubt that everyone has friends and everyone can be our friends .Take our parents as an example ,they also can be our friends if they talk with us ,share secret with us and are equal to us .

It is indisputable that friends are very important to us .The reasons are in the

following .First ,friends can help us to solve the problem if we havent the ability to deal with it by ourselves.Second ,we can share happy and sorrow with our friends so that we will not feel lonely any more .Third ,friends will encourage us when we have no confidence ,moreover ,they will persuade us when we do something wrong.
