First, for us studying abroad can experience a variety of culture, which is helpful for broadening students horizons and makes us know about society and the world. Second, going abroad is beneficial for us to foster our perseverance and the ability to live independently. Also,it is an excellent exercise that can train our spirit bearing hardships. Whatmore,there is no denying that foreign technology is more advanced than domestic theory of knowledge system, we can learn more knowledge in foreign countries and develop ourselves better than before.

Studying abroad also has some shortcomings.Above all ,Chinese students may be difficult to adapt to the new environment of study and life. Having been lived in China for 20 years, we may feel discomfortable to foreign learning methods and ways of life and even disgusted. It will affect our study for a long time in a foreign country.

In addition, studying abroad will cost a lot of money for living and tuition. Some students gain academic success, so they receive academic scholarships. However, most peers abroad cannot obtain the scholarships. The expenses on living and tuition will be great burdens for students families.

On the conclusion,studying overseas will afford students more benefits than adverse effects.If they could imbue themselves with intelligence and patience,I am sure that most students will be able to sidestep the drawbacks as well as take advantage of all merits of studying abroad.Only in this way, can they have a meaningful time and will achieve a better goal!

Nowadays many students have the opportunity to study for part or all of their courses in foreign countries.While studying abroad brings many benefits to individual students, it also has a number of disadvantages.

In recent years there has been a vast increase in the number of students choosing to study abroad. This is partly because people are more affluent and partly due to the variety of grants and scholarships which are available for overseas students nowadays. Although foreign study is not something which every student would choose, it is an attractive option for many people.

Studying overseas has a number of advantages. Firstly/For example, it may give

students access to knowledge and facilities such as laboratories and libraries which are not available in their home country. Furthermore/Moreover/What is more/Secondly, by looking abroad students may find a wider range of courses than those offered in their country’s universities, and therefore one which fits more closely to their particular requirements.

On the other hand, studying abroad has a number of drawbacks. These may be divided into personal and professional. Firstly students have to leave their family and friends for a long period. Furthermore/Moreover/What is more/Secondly studying abroad is almost always more expensive that studying in one’s local university.

Finally/Furthermore/Moreover/What is more, students often have to study in a foreign language which may limit their performance and mean they do not attain their true level.In my opinion/On the other hand, however, the disadvantages of studying abroad are usually temporary in nature. Students who study abroad generally become proficient in the language quite soon and they are only away from their family and friends for a year or two. Conservative and negative concerns about studying abroad have been gradually emerging from our society. People start to wonder what goes wrong with studying abroad. There are a couple of issues worth of our discussions. Disadvantages of studying abroad may affect ones life culturally and economically. We Chinese will experience cultural shocks if we study abroad and live in another country. Some peers may not be able to adapt to a new environment of their studying and living, which may be very different from that of theirs. Life is beautiful, and it is hard. If one does not feel comfortable with the new culture of another country, he will not be happy about studying in that country. In addition, studying abroad can cost students a great deal of living expenses. Some Chinese students are so academically successful that they receive scholarships in their studies. However, most peers who study abroad do not receive scholarships. Furthermore, they have to deal with many unexpected hardships by living away from their parents and homeland. For example, medical insurance, daily foods, clothes, rents and transportation can generate a large amount of living expenses. Often time, they need to heavily depend on their parents overseas monthly payments. I have discussed some benefits and disadvantages of studying abroad. Life is not easy that we know. My belief is that for those students who study abroad should build strong characters in facing of unexpected difficulties in their life.
