Unit2 How often do you use a computer?
Teachong aims: 1. To recognize the present simple.
2. To ask and answer questions about the use of computers.
3. To get to know the use of computers and arouse the interest of students’on computers.

Teaching procedures:
1. Revision and warming—up
T: What day is it today?
Ss:It’s Monday.
T: Yesterday was Sunday? Right?
Ss:Yes.
T: What do you usually do on weekend? Do you play computer games?
Ss:Yes. Sometimes.
T: What is this?
Ss:It is a computer.
T: Do you have a computer at home?
Ss:Yes.
T: what do you usually do on the computer?
Ss:Play computer games.
T:So today we will learn the computer.
2. Presentation
1)Enjoy a video and then ask thestudents to answer what can they see in the viedo?
e.g.: T: Can you see a boy? What does he do?
Ss:He plays games.
Then the teacher show a picture about the use of computers on the screen. The students say the phrase and learn these phrases.
3. Drill
Do Activity 2. After the discussion, the teacher ask some students to tell the answers.
Now the teacher divide the class into two groups. If the answer is right, the group can get a point.
4. Presentation
1) Listening
The teacher plays the tape once, and then the students do Activity 1. After the discussion, the teacher chooses some students to tell the answers. If the answer is right, the group can get a point.
2) The students read the passage once again and then do Activity 3. Then the whole class check the answers.
3) The students correct the false sentences of Activity 3. Then check the answer. If the answer is right, the group can get a point.
Correct the false sentences in Activity 3.
e.g.: 3. Jack doesn’t play computer games.
Jack plays computer games.
5. Karl Heinz doesn’t make travel plans.

6. Marcella and Bruno don’t have a computer at home.

7. Becky doesn’t have a computer.

4) the students join the two sentences of Activity 5 and then check the answers. If the answer is right, the group can get a point.

5. Pair work
Ask students to make sentences with the phrases about use of computers. The students can discuss first and then the teacher will ask some students to show their sentences.
6.Practice
Do a survey. Ask the students to do a survey and then fill in the table. Then ask some students to show their answers.

7. Summary

Write a few sentences to talk about the use of computers.

设计思路

1. 由简单的日常对话（询问天气，周末的节目， 家里有没有电脑等），来引入这节课的学习

2. 老师通过CAI课件，播放录象来激发学习的兴趣，并引导学生学习词组，从而达到学习新单词的目的。

3. 通过小组比赛，看谁的配对得对，从而让学生掌握新词组。

4. 1）学生听录音机，做第一部分的配对问题并进行小组竞赛，来激发学生的学习兴趣。
2）学生再自己阅读一遍文章，将第三部分错的句子改正，并进行小组讨论，培养学生的合作精神。

5. 让学生运用所学的词组来造句，检验学生对英语的运用能力，增强口语表达能力。

6. 让学生运用特殊疑问句和一般疑问句去调查同学使用电脑的情况，激发学生的热情，培养他们用英语表达自己真实情感的意识和能力，并鼓励以小组汇报的形式呈现答案，一方面，提高学生用英语解决实际问题的能力。同时，提高学生的合作能力。

7. 让学生自己对这节课进行总结，并激发他们学习电脑的兴趣。

8. 练兵场，看看学生对知识点是否理解掌握。
