Module 6 Activities
Unit 1
Warmer
Review instructions.
Say, “I like football.” Mime playing football then add, I’m playing football. Follow the same procedure for basketball and table tennis. Then repeat the mimes and ask, ‘ What am I doing’? Say, You’re to prompt the Ss and they can complete the sentence by adding, playing (sport).
Now tell the Ss I am going to give them instructions and they have to follow my instructions by performing mimes.
Examples
T: Play football, please.
Ss: (mime playing football)
T: Play basketball, please.
Ss: (mime playing football)
Now have the Ss continue the activity in pairs.
1.Listen and point
  Get the Ss to work in groups. Explain that they will do a chain practice where they will ask and answer questions about their school subjects.
Each student should mention only two subjects to avoid all the answers being identical.
Do a demonstration. Have three Ss come to the front of the class. You are A and assign the three Ss the roles of B, C and D respectively. Write the subject names Maths, English and Chinese on the board.
Ask the questions and have B respond. Then prompt B to ask C the question.
Now have the Ss continue the chain practice in groups.
3.Look, ask and answer
  Tell the Ss to draw a line on a large piece of paper. Then they have to write times at regular intervals along the line to make a timeline. They should start on the left with the approximate time they get up and write each succeeding hour on the line.
For homework, they have to mark the activities they do on Sunday on the timeline. They should write the action underneath the correct time.
 Unit 2
Warmer
Get a copy of the class timetable for today. Write a copy in English and if possible, write it on the board in large letters for the Ss to see.

Get the Ss to look at the timetable and ask questions about it.
Examples
T: Do you have English today?
Ss: Yes, we do.
T: Do you have Maths today?
Ss: No, we don’t.
2.Point ask and answer.
Say, What does Lingling do at the weekend? Prompt the Ss to say , She plays basketball. She goes swimming. Remind the Ss that these are activities Lingling does regularly, so they are habits. We use the simple tense to talk about habits.
3.Act it out
  Explain that this activity will be done in groups of five. If the number of the Ss is not evenly divisible by five, some groups can have four members. In this case, the fourth student would do the reporting.
Do an example with the class where I am Student E and I have to report what the others have said.
4.Listen and say, then sing.
  Have the Ss look at the picture. Ask them which word is spelled out on the cards.
Ask the Ss what the song will be about.
Play the tape of the song and get the Ss repeat the words.
After singing the song
Have the Ss talk about the things that they like at school. Write their suggestions on the board.

Playing games
Singing songs
Now explain to the Ss that I am going to say the items in the list. When they hear something that they like, those Ss should stand up and say, We like….
Example
T: PE
Ss: We like PE.

以第三人称单数的形式来进行对周末生活的询问及回答。通过学习歌曲来让学生熟悉语感语调。再用练习来巩固新知。本模块教学重点是一般现在时中规则动词第一人称、第二人称单数的应用。训练学生的口语表达能力。培养学生对外语的积极态度，能够养成经常锻炼身体的好习惯。
