and worked for the equal rights for the blacks of South Africa for many years.As early as in 1940，while he was still at university，he took his first actions.In 1944，he helped to found the ANC Youth League.During the 1950s，he led many peaceful actions.His enemies hated him and he had been kept a prisoner from 1962 to 1989，but he never gave up the struggle for the freedom of all the blacks，so he
