一、 不定冠词a/ an
1.不定冠词a/an的辨析
a用在辅音音素前，用在元音音素前。
a song a one-hour documentary a university a useful book
an hour an honest boy an 8-year-old boy
2.不定冠词a/ an的用法
（1）在可数名词的单数前泛指人或物的某一种类。
A panda is very lovely.
（2）用于表示数量“一”，但意义上没有one强 。
That’s a useful book.
（3）第一次提到某人或某物。
I have a book. The book is new.
（4）用在序数词前表示“再一、又一”。
He has eaten two apples, and he wants to eat a third one.
（5）用于某些固定词组中。
have a good time give sb. a hand in a minute
二、 定冠词the
(1) 特指某（些）人或某（些）物。
Beijing is the capital of China.
The man in the car is Mr. Smith.
(2) 指谈话双方都知道的人或物。
Look at the skirt, I bought it for Mum on Mother’s Day. Isn’t it nice?
(3) 上文提到过的人或物。
There was a man in the hotel. The man looked very tired.
（4）用在世界上独一无二的事物前。
the sun the earth the moon the sky
（5）用在西洋乐器前。
play the violin/ the piano/ the guitar
注：中国乐器前不加the.
（6）序数词和形容词最高级前用the.
This is the first lesson of the book.
He is the tallest in our class.
（7）用在方位名词前。
on the left/right in the east/ west/ south/ north at the back of/ in the front of
（8）用在姓氏的复数前表示“全家人或夫妇两人”。
The Blacks are getting ready for the holiday.
（9）用在普通名词构成的专有名词前。

（10）用在某些固定词组中。
in the morning/ afternoon at the age of in the end at the same time

（11）用在形容词前代指一类人。
the old/ young the rich/ poor the strong/ weak the sick
三、 不用冠词的情况
（1） 名词前已有指示代词(this/ that/ these/ those)、形容词性物主代词(my/ his/ our)、名词所有格等限定词时，不用冠词。
This is my coat. Do you like that coat?
These are Tom’s books. This is my first time to visit Beijing.
（2） 表示学科、一日三餐、球类运动、棋类运动的名词前。
learn Chinese/ maths/ English/ history have breakfast/ lunch/ supper/ dinner
注：若三餐名词前有形容词时，则需要用冠词。a nice dinner/ a quick breakfast
play football/ basketball/ tennis/ tennis
（3） 表示星期、月份、季节、节日的名词前。
on Sunday/ Monday/ Tuesday in January/ February/ March
in spring/ summer/ autumn/ winter on Teacher’s Day/ Children’s Day
注：由festival组成的中国特有的节日前要加the.

（4） 在某些固定短语中。

四、 有无the的意义区别
