After learning this part, the students will be able to
1. have a good understanding of “laughter is good for us”;
2. learn some art forms which can make us laugh;
3. learn something about British sense of humor and learn to understand it;
4. master two proverbs about laughter.

Learning procedures:
Step 1: Lead-in
1. Enjoy a vedio about laughter, and introduce the topic of laughter.
2. Brainstorming
1) How can laughter benefit us?

Step 2: Sharing Information
Today, we will have a chance to laugh heartily.
There are four posters on our book. All of them are quite funny. Before we enjoy them, let’s bear the following questions in mind:
v Do the four posters share something in common? If so, what are they?
v Which of the events do you think will be the funniest? Why?
v Why do people like funny things?

Step 4: Understanding English Humour

3. Introduce British sense of humor and point out how to understand it.
4. After learning how to understand British sense of humor, let’s enjoy two more jokes to check whether we have mastered the skill.

Step 6: Conclusion
Laughter is a bridge that can lead people to health,happiness and peace. It is a good therapy to help people get rid of bitterness and forget all the problems.
