In China, many visitors have the hobby of carving graffiti on places of interest, especially on some famous cultural relics. Last year I went to the Great Wall and found many people had left names and ugly words on the Wall, which destroys many historic bricks. In my opinion, such people should feel ashamed of leaving their marks on the great relics which were created by our ancestors.
So personally I quite agree with this brilliant project though it has caused criticism from some people. The Great Wall would be ruined one day if we didn’t take any steps to protect it. Recently years, with the rapid development in our country, more and more people own their private cars. Some people think that private cars should be restricted, while others think that private cars should be encouraged. As far as I ‘m concerned, I think owning a private car has both advantages and disadvantages.
On the one hand, private cars do bring the owners convenience and comfort. If you have a car, you don’t need to take the bus or subway to work. You can image how crowded and slow when you get on a bus, especially during the rush hours. With your own car, you just don’t need to worry about this problem. To sum up, private cars provide us with convenience as well as harm. Whether or not to afford a private car depends on personal details.

　 How People Spend Their Holidays
As is clearly shown in the table , there was a dramatic change in the way people spent their holidays between 1990 and 2000. Especially, in 1990, 63% of people spent their holidays at home, while the figure decreased considerably to 24% in 2000. there are three reasons for this phenomenon.
To begin with, with the development of market-oriented economy, people earn by far more money than they used to, making it possible for them to afford traveling expenses In addition, people realize the importance of getting well-informed about the outside world in this modern era to develop their potential. For example, a traveller may encounter or talk with someone of a different cultural background so as to broaden his vision. Last but not least, by traveling outside, people are close to nature, which is beneficial to both their health and peace of mind. In short, more and more people take the occasion of holiday to travel outside and relax themselves.
As far as I am concerned, I prefer to go traveling instead of staying at home during holidays. On the one hand, I love meeting different people and take in some fresh ideas. The first cause is the great increase in the number of private cars. Cars take up more space but they carry fewer people. Some private car drivers ignoring traffic regulations, drive only for the sake of their own convenience, blocking the way of other public transportation vehicles. The second cause is the slow and inefficient construction and improvement of the roads and streets. With a large population and a number of automobiles increasing, some roads still remain unimproved, which will surely lead to problems. The last cause is the insufficient management of the traffic system and the people’s lack of awareness of traffic regulations. Many pedestrians(行人) cross the streets even when the traffic lights are against them, which is an obstacle to the flow of traffic.
The problem of traffic congestion is an urgent one because it concerns the safety of all of us. We will not resolve it if we only rely on the government.. Let all of us act now to solve it.

7．交通工具的选择
My Favorite Transport—Bicycle
Among all means of transportation, I like bicycle most. It’s cheap as well as popular.
There are many advantages to ride the bicycle. In the first place, riding bicycle makes me feel independent. I can go anywhere by bicycle. Especially during rush hours, I can still move freely. Secondly, using a bicycle is good for environment protection, because it won't emit any waste gas. Moreover, bicycle riding is also a good sport. While riding a bicycle, I can exercise myself, which is healthy to me.
In my free time, I often ride my bicycle to get around in the downtown area or in the countryside, so as to relax myself. It's really a nice outdoor activity for me, I think.
