A survey conducted in Tianjin fond that 98% of high school students and 92% of primary school students have to spend most of their weekends doing homework.
Too much homework has become a common complain in high schools and primary schools.Students have to spend most of their time doing homework,even on weekends.As a result,they have no time for their hobbies,or for their parents or frinends.All they do is what they have to do ,not what they like to do.
The underlying casue for this phenomenon lies in the present exam-oriented education system.National College Enterance Examination has become the sole focus of teachers,parents,and students themselves.High score becomes the ultimate goal,leading to the neglect of practical abilities,personality development,and all that.
It is urgent that we deepen our educational reform,we must allow all student’s overall development,not just evalucate their scores.

In the picture, we can see that the girl’s parents and grandmother are helping her,which makes it impossible for the girl to ride bicycle by herself.What is more rediculous,her mother even takes some medcine with her.
In fact,this is not a picture just for fun.It tells us that parents shouldn’t help their children too much.They should let their children be more independent.
Many parents share the opinion that they must get everything ready for their childern so that their children could have enough time on their study.They all failed to consider that with the help of this kind,children won’t be able to live their own life without parents in the future.
Nowdays,it is often reported that a certain college student doesn’t know how to wash his socks!How can she compete with others after graduation?
Love and attention is needed in the growth of a child,but it should never be too much,or you’ll spoil the child and he will accomplish nothing in his life.

I remrember the first time I participated in an English competition.Three years ago,my classmates chose me to speak in an English competition at our school.When I went on stage,I had butterflies in my stomach.Suddenly,my mother’s words came back to me:if you want to do something,it costs nothing but self-confidence”.Since I was chosen to be there,it meant I must have the ability to succeed.Take it easy,I said silently.You have prepared for this competition for 3 months.You are the best,Strangely,my nervousness vanished after I spoke to myself with such confidence.I began to speak onstage fluently-the feeling was wonderful.The whole audience applauded afterwards.I was successful!
