2、ike?” for grade 7 in junior middle school. I am going to illustrate my plan from the following 6 aspects. Teaching materials, Teaching methods, Learning strategies, Teaching procedures, Blackboard design and Teaching evaluation. 1. First, I’ll give a brief analysis of the teaching materials. The

3、 teaching materials include 3 parts: the status and functions, teaching aims, the key points and the difficulties. For the status and functions, this textbook “Go for it” is designed to cultivate Ss’ overall abilities including linguistic, culture and social ones. And it is also designed with the

4、aim of making Ss use English to exchange ideas, fulfill certain tasks and solve practical problems. According to the new national curriculum, teaching aims are composed of three aspects, such as knowledge aims, ability aims and affection aims. Knowledge aims: I’ll enable Ss to have a good command

5、 of the new words and target sentences. And then get Ss to talk about people’s appearances freely in real situation with the sentence patterns. Ability aims: I’ll cultivate Ss’ ability of communication, cooperation and exploration to enable them to express their opinions by using the target sentenc

6、es. As for the affection aim. By describing people’s appearances, express their views or preferences. Ss would know what the true beauty is and understand the inner beauty is more important than the appearance. key points and difficulties. The key points of this section are to develop Ss’ linguist

The new national curriculum advocates that language is for communication, English teaching should lay special emphasis on development of Ss. For this purpose, I’ll mainly

8、adopt 2 teaching methods. They are task-based language teaching and communicative language teaching. In this activity, students will practice their listening skills and get to know some adjectives to describe people and students will be very exited and very naturally I’ll lead them to the next step task-cycle. Task-cycle, which involves in listening, sp

18、eaking, reading and drawing. For listening, I’ll play the tape twice. For the first time, ask Ss to close the book, just listen and try to get the main meaning of the dialogue. For the second time, I’ll pause the tape several times to give Ss time to fill in the chart. After that, I’ll check the ans

19、wers. As for reading, I’ll adopt the Holistic Reading method, which composed of Pre-reading, While-reading and After-reading. For Pre-reading We’ll have Guessing games, ask them some Questions and get them to have a short Discussion. First, I’ll let the Ss observe the two pictures to find the diff

20、erences. Then get them to talk about the differences between the 2 pictures. In While-reading: it includes Skimming and Scanning. For skimming, I’ll ask Ss to read the material quickly to get the main idea.( 换页)For scanning, I’ll ask students to read the material again and get them to concentrate

21、on some specific information. By doing these, the Ss would get the general ideas and they could fill in the chart. Let’s move to After-reading: it includes comprehension check-up, oral reproduction and outside reading. I’ll give my Ss the fill in the blanks questions. After they finish the Qs I’ll l

22、et them summarize the reading materials and then to have a debate. I’ll lead Ss to the English Salon. I’ll say like this: ok, boys and girls this is a “English salon” TV program show. Today we will have a debate. Our topic will be “the inner beauty or appearance” which is more important to a person.

23、 I’ll divide the whole class into 2 teams: team A is approval and Team B is against. In this way, Ss can express their opinions freely. After the exciting debate, I’ll make a summary like this. The appearances are not the most important thing. We should not judge a person only from their appearances

24、 It is not enough for Ss learn the textbook. So I’ll choose these newspapers, magazines and books to extend my Ss’ Reading. Task 3: Speaking and writing: for this part, the Ss would practice their speaking and writing ability. Firstly, I’ll let Ss speak out the names of their favorite stars, act
